Hello! Maple Ridge Stables is owned and operated by Emma Votoure. Our focus will be to breed Holsteiners and Trakehners. At the moment we only have four foundation Holsteiners, but we do plan on purchasing some Trakehners soon.

First, thanks so much for all the comments! I'm glad that there are so many Holsteiner lovers within the community. MRS Alaisiagae is the newest addition to Maple Ridge Stables and our first Trakehner! She is beautiful bay mare with a gentle, loving attitude. She has done very well in past show jumping events and we are expecting her to continue to succeed at our stables.
As this is my first Trakehner, I am a little unsure of her conformation. Is she too robust? Is her head right? What do you guys think? MRS Alaisiagae Trakehner Mare Foundation/Foundation

IMHO, the head is too robust. Trakehners have very rectangular heads that come to a point, which is what separates them from other warmbloods...however I have the same critique of every Trakehner I've seen around the forum lately, so do with it what you will. I'm also notorious for being extremely picky about head shape...so again, just my opinion.

She's gorgeous, but as Amanda said her head robust and heavy. Trakehners have very similar head as Thoroughbreds. The head is often finely chiseled, narrow at the muzzle, with a broad forehead. Trakehners' head is more concave than convex. Good example of Trakehners' head: (photo from here)

Maple Ridge Stables has finally acquired a Trakehner stallion! His name is MRS Not Another (he was named thus because when I went into CAS to make him, I intended to create a chestnut, but somehow ended up with another bay, of which I have many...). Anyways! Jack, as he is known around the stable is a welcome addition as he will be our main breeding stallion when it comes time to start expanding the MRS lines. Also, in response to my post asking for critique on my Trakehners conformation, I have edited the heads of these guys. So please tell me what you think! Is it better? Or worse? MRS Not Another Trakehner Stallion Foundation/Foundation Maple Ridge Stables also has a new foundation Trakehner mare by the name of MRS Flirtation. This time, I did actually manage to make a chestnut coat and she has turned out beautifully (or at least I think she has). Flirt is a shy mare with lost of jumping skill and great muscle tone. We are looking forward to watching her compete in the near future. MRS Flirtation Trakehner Mare Foundation/Foundation Unfortunately we don't have any more pictures of MRS Flirtation at the moment. Hopefully we'll get some posted soon.

Hey! So its been a while since I posted pictures of my Holsteiners, all the new Trakehners have been stealing the spotlight, so here are a couple I've made up for WR's All Breed Halter Show. Now, I don't have very much in the way of picture editing skills, and I don't have photoshop or anything so I kind of have to struggle to make do with what I can. However, I would love some feedback! Anything to help me improve. So any suggestions? I think maybe I went a little overboard with the blur tool, and I know I need to work on my rein editing skills :/
