Maple Ridge Stables has finally acquired our newly imported Trakehner mare, MRS Half Moon Bay. Moon is an absolutely stunning pinto Trakehner, one of the rarest colorings available for the breed, and she has just begun her training at our stable.
Half Moon Bay is not only gorgeous, but also a very correct mare. Her conformation is one of the best we have seen in a while, and her strong, uphill gait is evidence of her complete athleticism. She seems to have it all, looks, speed, and agility. Although she is still in the beginning stages of her training, she is already showing a great capability for jumping, and dressage! MRS Half Moon Bay Trakehner Mare Foundation/Foundation She is settling in well at our stables and we hope to start competing with her soon.

Lovely mare! Did you make those markings using spots or is it a body marking?

Thanks Whitestone! Some of the white is a body marking, but I added to it to make it more unique

Alright, because I have this thing where something can't be one way for too long, I have been overcome with the desire to redo my website. And so, because I have very little self control, I have given in, and begun this process. It is doubtful that my new design will stay the way it is for more than a month or two, but whatever, at least I got some pretty pictures out of it! And here are a few of them. These shots are all of my breeding stallions As you might notice, the usual background has changed because, as stated previously I have little self control and I decided I needed new facilities. So in other words, Maple Ridge Stables is getting a complete make over! MRS A Separate Peace Holsteiner Stallion MRS Solomons Pride Holsteiner Stallion MRS Galophone Trakehner Stallion MRS Not Another Trakehner Stallion My favorite boy!! <3 I don't know why but I'm completely in love with this guy... my favorite simmy horse For anyone who cares, the renovated website probably wont be up for another week or so...and expect another two weeks for any sign of my new facilities, yes I have a busy life, it happens when you try to graduate early...

Thanks Lena! I have nothing better to show you so I thought I'd throw up some new profile pictures. They're not fantastic, but oh well, I tried. The construction of Maple Ridge is starting to wind down. All of our horses and riders are happy about this as we have been without a jump course for a couple of weeks. However we finally finished our new jumping grounds just the other day and Emma was excited to get out and try it. She took one of our Performance horses, Flirtation, out for a training session over the new jumps. Emma started her out easy at first, warming her up at the end of the course before taking her over a few small jumps. Flirt, being the amazing jumper she is, cleared them all easily and Emma soon had her going over the more challenging obstacles. (Flirtation didn't actually manage to clear this jump, she knocked the top pole off as she was coming down. But we are still very happy with her. This was the highest we've ever asked her to jump and she handled the obstacle wonderfully.)

I love Flirtations color, you'll have to let me know when she's up for breeding, I would love to have a foal from her.

Thanks Sydie! Thanks Rosemond, I probably won't be breeding her for a while yet, but I may have a foal crop sometime in Feburary... so if your interested you can keep an eye out for those foals
