Nirvana couldn't help but giggle now, "Oh no. Its the breed! A Natinal Show Horse is an Arabian, and Saddlebred." Nirvana looked over at Lorelei, "But I hope the foal will be a national champion. If its a filly I wanna do Fresstyle Dressage with her." She smiled as she got the mare nice and wet for the soap. She grabbed her sponge, squirting a little shampoo onto it before rubbing it over her coat. "It would be a nice change..But I really miss riding in my races."She sighed softly, "I want to be the best woman jockey out there. But seeing as I can't ride for a while. Its not gonna happen."

"Oh," She said, also laughing. "We don't get many of those either, right Three?" She finished, addressing the horse and patting the appaloosa, who snorted at her almost as if saying, I don't really care, finish my bath. She looked at Nirvana. "I think you could do anything you set your mind to," She said honestly. "I think anyone can. And I think if the baby turns out like its mom, it'll definitely be good enough to help you get there." She said, beaming, then looked back at Three (Or, otherwise known as 3OH!3, as and of the therapy kids played some music from that band and the appy mare seemed to enjoy it. She hadn't been named yet, so the therapy kid started calling her Three, and it stuck.) She finished rinsing off the horse and applied a generous amount of soap, then started lathering it up. "I don't know why you can't ride, and I'm not generally one to pry, but just saying, you wouldn't be able to ride the foal for a few years anyway." She joked, trying to lighten the mood.

Nirvana smiled as she looked over at the other horse, "I love horses with personalities."She smiled as the mare would snort at Lorelei. "But, my profession is being a jockey. And my boyfriend doesn't really work, since he owns, and runs a ranch that was given to him by his father. As well as work at his mother's thoroughbred farm, with no pay." She lent down to lather up the mares legs, and under belly. "The foal, I know I will be able to train it when its of age. But I can't be riding for another like, nine months at the most."

"My mom runs our ranch," She said cheerfully. "We breed Tekes. Desert horses. They like this weather," she said, laughing a bit. It was almost always hot in Dry Gulch. "And they're fast. But even so, I don't think I could be a jockey." She said, smiling. "Too wild a life for me. I like this. Being here. Helping out. Watching the animal who I've worked with and trained and made unafraid, turn into a beautiful loving soul and find a permanent family and a permanent home. It doesn't happen with every case, it doesn't even happen a lot, but it happens enough to make it worth it." She said, smile fading at the implications of 'nine months'. She wasn't going to pry, she thought to herself, working her way down Three's front legs.

Nirvana nodded, "I understand where your coming from. When I was sixteen I ended up getting locked up for some stuff I did, yet I regret what I did. But."She paused for a moment rink out the sponge, and looked at the other woman, "I don't regret getting locked up. Because if I didn't, I would have never got to go into the program they had, cleaning out the stables of the local mounted police force." She said softly. "I would have never met my boyfriend's father, nor ever to to make it here."She smiled a little bit. "Its because of them I got a second life. And I owe them so much for it." Nirvana started to rinse Mississippi off, getting all the soap of her body. "Raylon wants to give me some land on the acres he owns, so I can build up my own dream farm. For the more Exotic breeds, like my Marwaris." She gave a large grin now, "Best breed I ever laid eyes on."

Izzy stroked Achoo while looking at a shy chestnut mare. She watched Izzy through her long dark eyelashes. The horse appeared to be at least 7, and Izzy wondered what her story was. She left to find Nirvana and Lorelei. "Hey, guys," Izzy greeted them. They were telling each other about their own barns. "You breed Marwaris?" Izzy asked Nirvana. "Cool! I breed Arabians, Anglo-Arabians, and Thoroughbreds, mostly. My uncle, Liam, bred Egyptian Arabians, which is where I got my mare Zafira. I bred her when I lived on my uncle's ranch."

Nirvana shook her head, looking at Izzy. "Not now. I am just lucky to own one."She told her, "I am too poor to run my own ranch yet. I spent the last of my winnings on some horses we bought from the auction, and to stay here for Mississippi." She patted the mares back as she turned the hose off. She grabbed a dry towel, and started to rub the mare dry. "But I wish."She smiled softly.

Izzy cocked her head. If she offered to buy Nirvana some Marwaris, would it seem like she was snobbish about being wealthy? She'd inherited over 2 billion dollars from her parents. And she had doubled that money by the fourth month of owning Desert Sun... "Ah, I'm sorry," Izzy finally said.

"Our first six Tekes came with the ranch," Lorelei threw in, musing over the story. "My mom loved horses since she was little, and we had this aunt we went and visited and took care of the horses. She was around 98, and couldn't afford any help, so the horses were untrained, wild. She left all of it to my mom, and they're not exactly champions now, but they'll get there, I hope." She said, smiling and imagining all the breeds they'd mentioned so far running around ranches.

"Nice," Izzy said, grinning. "My family has been breeding Thoroughbreds and Arabians for as long as I can remember -- so most of mine came with the farm. Uncle Liam imported some of his fillies and colts for me too." Izzy's mouth curved in a smile, remembering her quirky uncle and his horses.

Once Nirvana dried Mississippi, she walked behind her and started to braid the mares tail. "My family, which is really my boyfriend's family, they have been breeding and racing Thoroughbreds since the 1920's."She said softly watching her fingers as she worked. "And his fathers side as been taming mustangs since the west started." She paused for a moment looking up at them, "Well..They had too, since the natives relied on horses for transport." She chuckled softly.

Izzy grinned. "I'll bet. So are you taming them, then?" she asked. Achoo sneezed, stalking a rabbit. The lucky animal hopped away as fast as it could and Achoo slunk back over to her owner. "Sorry, girl, maybe you'll get it next time!" Izzy laughed. Just then her phone rang. "Hello?" Izzy asked into the phone.
"Miss Rose," a girl's voice said. It was Sadie, the 14 year old stable girl. She sounded worried. "Diamond's giving birth." Diamond was a new Thoroughbred mare at DSE. Izzy's eyes widened. Di wasn't due for another three weeks.
"I have to go," Izzy told Nirvana and Lorelei, rushing to her truck. "Sadie, call the vets. I'm two hours away from the ranch. I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Hope everything goes alright," Lorelei said, frowning at the urgency. She worked some shampoo into Three's mane yet again and started rinsing her off.

"Good luck!"Nirvana called after her as she finished the main braid of the tail, before rolling it up into a nice tight bun. "Alright then." She smiled at her work. "Your tail will stay out of the way for birth now. "Mississippi just gave a low nicker, trying to look over at the other horse. "Your too friendly for your own good."

Izzy hung up so Sadie could call the vets. After that was done, Sadie called back. "Okay, I called the vets. Now what?"
"Just keep Di calm," Izzy told her. She could hear the grunts of the mare in the background.
"I see the foal's front feet," Sadie finally said. Izzy sighed with relief. Achoo whimpered from the shotgun seat.
"It's all right, Achoo," Isabella told the dog. "The foal's almost born." Ten minutes later, Sadie declared that the foal was a boy, and that it was alive and breathing.
"Sorry for disturbing you, Miss Rose," Sadie said meekly. "I thought that Diamond was having complications." Izzy rolled her eyes. Sadie had never seen a mare give birth before. Izzy was still an hour and a half away from the barn.
"Do you think it's going to be fine, Sadie?" Izzy sighed. She could've stayed at the center...
