Nirvana slowly walked Mississippi along the aisle of the stalls, looking at some of the rescues that was inside. Oh how bad did she wanna help, and take them all home. Just two week ago Mississippi was one of them overly spooked, and close to skin and bones. Now she was healthy as ever, and one of the best mares Nirvana has owned.
Nirvana smiled when she came upon Izzy, and Lorelei. Mississippi would just looked at the stallion that got spooked. She would nicker to him, trying to tell the stallion he was okay. Nirvana looked at Lorelie, "Gosh he is so handsome." She cooed looking at him. "Does he have a name?"She asked rubbing one of Mississippi's ears as the mare would rub her head up against her arm.

"We've been calling him Cloud," She said, smiling. Most wouldn't describe the poor animal as handsome right now, with all the obvious scars and marks, but she was right, under it the animal had great structure and muscles. Cloud looked at the mare and calmed upon seeing such a friendly horse.

Achoo whimpered, reminding Izzy that her dog was standing there. She leaned against Izzy's legs, and the girl watched the lovely grey gelding as he reached his muzzle over the stall door to greet Mississippi.

Mississippi took a few steps towards the gelding, bumping her nose against his for a moment, before stepping back once more.
Nirvana looked at him some more, "He really looks like a mustang that my mom used to follow around. Well she wasn't my real mom, but still."She chuckled softly, "Lorelie. I don't know if you much into herbal remedies or anything. But I might have some things that can help him calm down. Maybe even enough to let him go out into a pasture, or even allow someone to brush him."

Lorelei froze for a second, looking at the horse, then calmed. "As long as it's herbal I suppose that would be alright," she said, smiling warily. She looked at the gray and slowly took a step forward. The gray didn't spook, but he flinched, so she backed off again. "I don't think it'll be a horrible ordeal to calm him. It won't be easy, but I think he was a friendly guy before," She stopped and stared at him, not wanting to finish the sentance. "Anyway," She said abruptly, "I would actually really appreciate it." She said, smiling.

Nirvana smiled looking at her, "I would really love to help!"She nodded, before leading Mississippi back to the stall, "I'll wash you up here shortly, I promise."She rubbed her head, before walking back out to the truck. She grabbed the box, which looked like an over sized tackle box, and walked back into the barn. "Where is your feedroom?"She asked, "I think his would be better inside of a mash instead of his water."

She laughed. "Feed room," She muttered. The feed room was now the office. It was more convenient to keep the food and tack in large chests conveniently scattered all over the barn, with big, heavy oak lids so the horses couldn't get into them. She walked over to one of the chests under a window across from where they were and grunted as she lifted the lid, examining the grains that were inside. She chose a few different grains to suit Cloud, mixed them quickly into his bucket and presented it to Nirvana. "This oughta do." She said, smiling.

"I don't got one either, nor a tack room."She chuckled softly, "We live out of packing trunks that are in the old trailer at home." She took the bucket, sitting it down on the lid so she would work with the mashing, and as well as some of the remedies. Once she finished mashing the grains down, she walked over to the grey slowly. "I promise I won't hurt you. I just need to tell me which one you would like."She smiled at him, holding her hands out towards him. There was three of them in her hand, tucked between her fingers as she would hold them out. "Which ever smells really good to you, I promise it will go into your treat."She smiled nodding a little at the gelding.

Lorelei watched as the gelding pulled his head back a little- Then slowly inched forward and nibbled at the last one out of the three. She smiled, satisfied that he hadn't spooked, but her smile slowly faded as she really, really closely looked at his face in the light. Usually he moved to quickly to observe and stayed in the darkest corner. Getting him into the stall had been all but a rodeo in itself. His face was covered in small, shallow but painful looking marks where he'd been hit with something, and a small burn that looked like it came from a cigarette. Fury heated her face as she closed her eyes, reminding herself yet again that that's why the horses come here. To heal.

When he would sniff at the bottles, she would lightly rub a circle with her finger in the middle of his head. "Thats a good boy."She smiled, looking at Lorelei. "Here. You place the remdy into the bucket. Just two drops. If he sees you helping with me, he might trust you more. Help him see we just wanna help."She whispered as she would message the spot over, and over again. Nirvana looked the horse in the eyes for a moment, before away, not to spook him. "Your such a handsome poor, very handsome."She cooed softly making bigger circles.

Lorelei stepped forward to help, smiling briefly at Nirvana as she did what she was directed to do. After he had his grain, and the remedy, she glanced at the stall next door to check on Pebbles. She was sound asleep, and so was the mare. She turned her attention back to the gray gelding.

Nirvana mixed it around once more, making sure to get his food covered in the herb treatment. Once it was finished, she quickly sat the bucket in his stall, letting him get to it easily. "He likes the same thing as Dead Ringer. Sweet Grass."She smiled resting her hands on her hips. "Its wheat grass that was soaked in apple juice, home made of course, and then the wheat grass is grinded down, and placed into the mixture before I bottle it." Nirvana went to place her box back together, closing it up. "I really hope it works. Because if he calms down enough, maybe we can see if he can go out with Mississippi. Since he seems to stay calm with the mare."She sat the box down in front of her stall, grabbing the lead for the mare once more. "Can I ask where you wash at? I wanna shine her up, and make sure she is extra clean for birth."

"We have a wash rack right up against the stable," She said, pointing slightly to the left of where the window was. "And believe me, if you forgot something, I guarantee there'll be about three extras over there!" She said, grinning. She had a tendancy to overstock on grooming supplies, but with all the horses she washed in a day, it was better to have to much than not enough. the grooming was also one of her favorite parts of working there, it was her way to relax during the day and bond with the horse.

Nirvana clicked her tongue, making Mississippi follow behind her, "Thank you. And I also packed extra."She chuckled, "Oh man. Thinking about home makes me think of my boyfriend. Stuck at home with five horses, and two dogs. Alone."She giggled as she walked to the wash stall. "Come on girl."She said, still giggling as she pull Mississippi inside, attaching the lead loosely to a hook. She unwrapped the mare's tail, slowly letting the crumbled hair fall to the floor, which her tail was overly long in length. Nirvana patted her bright rump, as she went to get the hose, turning the water on a slow trickle. "I'm am so glad you bathe easy."She chuckled as she started to run the warm water over the mares neck, and then her belly. "She is carrying a National Show Horse." Nirvana grinned, "It reminds me of when I first showed. All I rode was a National Show Horse."

Lorelei selected a very tame appaloosa mare who had missed yesterday's grooming and followed Nirvana, wanting to keep up the conversation. She tied the mare into one of the four racks, being careful and watching her front left foot, which had been deeply cut before and still troubled her when it landed wrong or anything touched it with anything more than a featherlight touch. "That's impressive," She said, glancing at the mare's belly. "Mostly what we get in through here are cow-ponies," She said, grinning as she remembered the two days she'd worked as a cow hand. She'd ran off with the quarter horse stallion that ran like the wind a few times, and the farmer had fired her for more or less ignoring the calves. He'd been good natured about it though, and told her she could come back and ride The Black if she cleaned out his stall and made sure he was fed. She often brought the old man pies and such, mostly out of pity since he'd lost his wife but she'd come to like his company. She continued with her sentance, "Maybe one or two halter horses but a national champion? I've never even seen one," She said, grinning.
