Jenny wandered into the centre carrying a tray with steaming paper flasks of tea on. "Is everything all right? I just saw Izzy leave in a bit of a hurry. Who wanted tea then?"

"I'll have some tea if you have any extra," Lorelei said, smiling as she toweled off Three, who turned her head and playfully nipped at her. "None of that, Three," She said softly, tapping the mare's nose.

Jenny handed Lorelei a flask, and then took a large mouthful of her own. "Tea- the Brit's cure all!" Jenny laughed "Cant blame the horse for wanting some!"

"Thanks you," She said, giggling at the thought of Three drinking tea. They'd had a horse that liked coffee, but he'd already found a new home. She took a long drink and grinned. "I can see why they call it a cure all," She said.

"I'll pass."Nirvana sat as she unclipped Mississippi, slowly walking her forward. "Is there a small pasture I could place her in for abit. Let her legs stretch, and get out into the sun for a while?"She asked, since she really didn't know of the place very well. Mississippi would give a loud nicker, and started to bob her head abit when Nirvana talked about the pasture.

"Sure?" Jenny asked "I probably get through far too much tea as it is, but at least the used tea-leaves are good for a horses coat if you mash them up with oats... at least thats my excuse!"

"That's an excellent excuse," Lorelei said, grinning. "There's a big pasture on the other side of the stable, kind of behind the office. It even has grass," She said, kicking at the dust that seemed to be everywhere in Dry Gulch, except alongside the river.

"Thank you! After I put her out, I can help out with anything if you like?"She asked as she started to lead Mississippi out, and down to the pasture she was told about. Once she turned the mare out, who happily trotted around in the pasture for a moment, before stopping to graze on the grass. "Have fun girl."She smiled before walking back into the barn.

"I was just going to do some ground work for today," She said. "One of the therapy children will be here tomorrow, so I like to keep the horses she likes loosened up for when she gets here. For the other kids too, I mean, but she's the only one coming tomorrow. That means you too, Three," She said, listing mentally the other horses Lucy liked. There was Three, and Mr. Fancypants (of course, all the kids loved Pants), a roan blanket Appaloosa with the original name of Spot, and sometimes the little blond who'd been bucked off a horse at 6 and was working to get over her fears choose the gentle palimino mare called Golden. All of those horses were very tame, but sometimes a horse gets bored... "Yeah, just some groundwork," She said out loud, nodding.

"Sounds easy enough."She smiled looking at her as she rested her hands on her hips. "After I help you out. Do you think you could show me some horses close to adoption?"She asked reaching over to give a light rub to Three's nose. Monster ran up, and sat next to Nirvana's feet, looking up at the horse. "Oh Monster. I forgot you was with me."She giggled rubbing the bullies head. "I know he looks all big and bad, but he is the sweetest dog I have ever had."

Jenny reached down to the dog "He's lovely- a big softy I presume?"

Nirvana nodded, "Oh yeah! My boyfriend rescued him from the local pound. Thinking 'oh what a great guard dog' but he knows nothing about American Bullies. They are companion animals, so Monster is nothing but a big ol' lap dog."She giggled. Monster looked at Jenny, his tongue hanging out from his mouth as his tail would thump on the ground.

Jenny ruffled the dogs fur "I have the opposite problem- I have a big, white fluffy maremma with the biggest eyes ever, who would happily take your arm off if you hurt 'her' horses!"

She smiled. Usually she had to do all this alone. Quite a few of the volunteers didn't do much, fed the horse and talked to it, sometimes would try to calm it down, but as for the working part? "I would love for you to help too," She said, turning to go back to the stable with Three. Three was still a bit damp and would need to relax for a while anyway. She wasn't as bad as some horses, but bath time still wasn't really her favorite part of the day.
