Christine grew up as the youngest in your average Chinese American household. High grades were a must and expectations were high. Her mother did not approve of raising horses but growing up on a farm her father did. On her 12Th birthday she was surprised with a Clydesdale colt by her dad who she named Boogie, Boog for short. Her mother was furious. (I mean really dads are always really generous and buy stuff online without mom's permission, but seriously a colt!?) Boogie was immediately sent away. Christine was devastated. Five years later when Christine's mother had died from a car accident, her dad remarried and moved to ranch. Upon arriving at her new home and still devastated about losing Boogie, a gorgeous Clydesdale stood in the pasture beside the home. Was it really him? Of course! It was Boogie! Christine's dad knew how much Christine loved Boogie and how much she missed him so he spent months tracking down Boogie's owners. Forking out a couple thousand dollars to buy him back Christine's dad had given his daughter the best gift possible. After finishing college, Christine said goodbye to her stepmom, brothers, dad, and sister and set off with her Arabian and Boogie to start her stable.
