Dimitri, originally born in the poor districts of Bridgeport, was cursed with an alcoholic father and a mother who was too choked up with cigarettes to remember she had a son. Soon after his parents divorced and his father left his mother, when he was at the age of seven, Dimitri's mother gave him into the care of her parents, who owned a large, equestrian-centered estate in Riverview. There, his grandparents helped him to recover from the childhood trauma of the inner city, the horses in their care providing a perfect source of therapy.
In time, he learned to ride properly, showing a natural gift that, as his grandparents said, his mother had had, but had thrown away to run off with his father to the city. Unfortunately, Dimitri's grandmother died soon after his graduation from high school, and his grandfather fell terminally ill while he was working for a degree in business to help the stables. However, due to the necessity of having someone take care of the horses, Dimitri was forced to drop out of college and take on the job of stable management full-time.
Recently, his attention was grabbed by a few horses he'd seen at an equestrian exhibition in-town, which had been Lipizzaner/Paint crosses. Newly inspired, he set out on his new goal to bring attention to this new cross, despite the foiling of purebred registries.
