Gorgeous pictures! I was wondering, what world do you use? Thank you! :3 All of these pictures were taken in Riverview, which is, I believe, offered free of charge by EA. I'm considering a move to Christina's Ottawa Valley though.

I want to try Ottawa Valley too, but shes having a few problems so I think I will wait until everything gets figured out.

I haven't had the opportunity to do much with Sims, what with driving school and my foot surgery and starting work at a dog groomer's, but I did have the chance to take a few pictures of MY dog and figured he was just too darn adorable not to share with the world. Meet Ch Cortaillod Port Colborne 'Diesel', a 7 year old purebred salt Standard Schnauzer. We are his only owners and have had him since he was ~9 weeks old. We originally wanted his sister (six months before he was born, my grandfather died. One of his last wishes was to name our puppy Hilde, 'a good, German name for a good, German dog'), but she died during the surgery to crop her ears. It was later discovered that she was born with a heart condition. She would've died within months anyway. In a way I'm glad she went the way she did - quietly, painlessly, unconscious, and without us getting attached to her. We'd already given the breeders what ended up being the equivalent to a downpayment on a small house, and they felt awful that A) one of their animals died, and B) we wouldn't be getting our puppy. Mary called my mom and said that there was one other salt puppy with its ears and tail done, but it was a male. In the background we could hear her husband, Clive, yelling at her: "No, Mary! What are you doing!?" Mom was cautious because hey, if there was something wrong with this dog, we wanted to know. Mary laughed and said, "Oh no no no, he was just going to be our next show dog." A few years ago, Dies woke my mom up at 5am making all kinds of noise. She went into the foyer where he was and there was blood/feces everywhere. We were sure he'd killed the cat - until Dax went trotting down the hall without a care in the world. We saw Diesel in the corner, expelling blood from both ends, and rushed him to the vet's. After about fifteen minutes, we were told that he had a severely mutated strain of HGE - hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. For those that don't know, any age or breed of dog can contract HGE, anywhere in the world. Vets don't know what causes it or how to prevent it. From the time symptoms are first noticed, the dog is dead within 24 hours unless immediately and aggressively treated. Instead of just expelling the lining of his bowel, this strain forced him to expel the lining of his stomach, intestines, and we were told a little bit of lung tissue as well. It cost well over $800 to fix him, but he came home within the week and has been a happy, healthy dog since (apart from a ringworm incident...no more boarding kennels). Anyway. That's my boy. I love him to death and will do everything in my power to keep him as the gimpy, idiotic dog he is.
