Rena was born and raised in Sunset Valley and her childhood was relatively normal. She was always very shy and kept to herself but that increased tenfold when she entered school. She became more withdrawn and spoke less and less. Anxiety attacks were not an uncommon thing for Rena as she got older.
When Rena was 13, her grandmother had fallen ill and passed away and, with Ellen Humble being the sole beneficiary since her grandfather had long since passed away, they made the move to Appaloosa Plains. They found a house to rent and haphazardly settled down.
Appaloosa Plains was vibrant and lively but yet it had the peaceful countryside where all the stables were located and it seemed much better for the family in comparison to Sunset Valley. Rena's grades improved and her overall attitude improved once she began to visit the community stable and even begged her parents to let her take riding lessons.
Now, almost two years later, the family has moved to a more permanent home in the countryside that feels more like home and even has a little barn on the property so Rena is holding out hope that one day she'll be able to own her own horse, or maybe buy Dapple from her instructor!
