cool! this is going to be very helpful I'm sure! I pretty much start out the same way you do, except I've discovered that if you take the picture into an editing system, like photobucket, and find the color code for the horses various colors you can make the horse look a lot more realistic. This always helps if I have trouble getting the horse the exact right shade ))))

I've tried that when I started making coats but I never managed to get the right color xD I get better results just with my eyes x) No matter how and where I tried, the horse always was way too different colored but I'm sure it'll work for some people ,just not for me Once I remember and I have time (and if I can), I'm going to make the "3rd part" of the tuto and actually start creating that coat and do a tuto of the progress.
