Injury Up-date: I have been checked out by the doctor and given horse-pill antibiotics to take 2X daily and was also given 2 shots. I have a hematoma (bubble of blood that exploded from the blood vesicle but didn't break the skin), some minor punctures on my index finger, scratches all up and down my right forearm and a nail ripped half way across my thumb that may have become infected, hence the antibiotics. so now with a mangled right hand and a soar left arm, life is going pretty well lol. I have put pictures of my injuries up on my website: darkhorsesims.weebly.com/You can find the pictures located under the Info tab - RL Dog Bite Injury.

Are you okay? I was bitten by a dog last year. Even if the bite isn't bad it is still incredibly scarey. Did the dog have a history of being aggressive?

We must have posted at the same time.
Wow! That sounds bad. Hopefully they gave you something for the pain. Mine ached for awhile. So sorry about the bad luck.

Are you okay? I was bitten by a dog last year. Even if the bite isn't bad it is still incredibly scarey. Did the dog have a history of being aggressive? I'm doing fine, going back to work tomorrow. I actually don't feel any pain in my hand or arm, unless I put pressure on my thumb or nail. The dog didn't have a history of it, but she was fearful. She was a miniature Australian shepherd. We have had more people bitten at my workplace by that breed than any other, just a few months ago the groomer had to be rushed to the ER and have stitches from one, and it wasn't even a year old. I'm sure many people love them because they're "so cute" but I have an entirely different feeling on the breed. I won't go into a rant, but I would have that breed banned from boarding and daycare facilities all together. Not because I was injured by one, but because they are not a kind of dog that can be without their master without becoming fearful.

That is strange. I only have experience with the standard Aussie's and they are friendly. I'm very sorry for you. I wouldn't be able to go back to that job, but I also have always been leery of dogs. Cats on the other hand I absolutely love.
On a better subject... your new logo is very nice. I was never good at drawing in negative space. I also can't wait for your new Spanish mustang stallion to grow up. I'll have to make sure one of my painted mares is ready for breeding.

@ Silver Maple Equestrian - Thank you! It took a bit of trial and error to get the picture right, but enough patience and reference pictures, anyone can do it! I do hope to see you for a breeding with our new boy, just need to get a good name for him now @ Lidija - I didn't want to, but I am trying to condense and "start over" with most of my horses that I have bred alone. No horses I've received from other stables will ever be sold, and they act as very good teachers now in there older age. So with this colt, I'm trying to get Spanish Mustangs out there, after all, they were the first horse in North America!

The Foals You Voted For Are HERE!Please let me introduce you to your future studs! These guys are very special to me, because I know just how much you all fought for them to be here. Come on over and take a look at them ARIONASWith flexibility and endurance I have yet to see in such a young foal, Arionas or "Ari" is sure to be a threat in the show ring later on in life. He is your Andalusian boy with a grey coat, rapidly fading at this point, we expect him to turn out pure white by the time he starts his breeding career. He is an Agile, Brave, and Obedient boy and we absolutely adore him! One of the gentlest foals around, he is sure to be a gentleman in the dressage ring and to the ladies. TREVALLISThe most wanted breed of all in the poll with 200 votes, here is Trevallis or "T" as we call him. He is a Blood Bay Thoroughbred colt with a very bright future ahead of him. He already towers over our Spanish Mustang and Andalusian colts and has the longest legs I've ever seen! His need for speed is unmatched, and all the other colts are learning very quickly that they don't stand a chance against him. We will train him to become a racehorse and follow his passion. He is Fast, Friendly and Quiet, valuable traits in such an energetic horse! CABRELLOCabrello, or "Big Jack" as he's known at the stables, is a huge Bay Irish Sport Horse colt. He is expected to top the scales at around 17Hh when he is full grown, much like his sire. He is a beautiful boy with a handsome personality, being Agile, Friendly, and a down right Genius! We have the highest hopes for this boy and hope he does well. He already shows a very competitive side, which will hold up well for him when he begins his career in Show Jumping and Cross Country. If you would like to learn more about these boys feel free to visit my website! I will add news on them as the days pass. Let me know what you think!

I would like to introduce the first ever draft horse at Dark Horse Stables! We would like to give a HUGE thank you to Faye Quinn for giving us this mare. Her name is Penelope, or Penny. You can find her profile here: darkhorsesims.weebly.com/penny.htmlHere she is in the stall, being re-done right now but the main thing is its size, it is massive! Here she is with her handler, Lacey
