Biography:
Tori Hardson grew up in the small rural town of Riverview. When she was eight her parents were killed in a horrific car accident that left her and her younger brother Max, wanting for a home. For a little over a month they managed to survive in foster care until finally they were introduced into a permanent home. The couple that had adopted them had never been able to have children themselves and when they finally got the chance to raise two young, troubled kids they jumped. Their names were Maggie and Carter Williams and they lived in comfort on a massive Thouroughbred Training farm.
When Tori and Max arrived at the stables they were delighted to find a small, black and white pony waiting for them in the front yard, “A gift” Maggie explained with a gentle smile. “To make you feel more at home.”
Tori and Max named the little pony Ralph and learned to ride on him. He was a wonderful friend and companion to them for many years, nursing them through the heartbreak of their parent’s death and providing a caring friend when they just wanted someone to listen. Ralph passed at the age of 28, but his memory would always live on in Tori’s heart. From Ralph she had learned the basics of horsemanship and the love that the gentle giants can inspire.
When she turned 15, Tori was given a young thoroughbred, not yet broken and fresh from his mothers side, to train. And train him she did. Within just a few short months the young stallion had learned to accept a rider and to race as if the wind was at his back. Unfortunately Tori was a bit too big to ride as a jockey, and thus allowed the young stallion to be enlisted in her adopted parents Racing program, where he would continue to succeed and grow. But the stallion had sparked a new interest in Tori and from that moment on she dreamed of owning a horse ranch to rival any other. She dreamed of proud stallions, gentle mares and prancing foals. She dreamed of a place that would one-day produce the best show jumpers in the world and whose name could be heard spoken in admiration at any horse-jumping event.
Ten years later that dream got its best chance of success. A large portion of land, with a few run down buildings was bought and gradually renovated until Tori’s vision rested peacefully amidst the rolling hills and tall trees. The Cherry Blossom Equestrian Center, as it was named, soon became home to a promising line of Hanoverians who each held the potential for greatness. Now, three years later Tori’s brother Max has come to join her and to help her make her dream come true. Life is fun and prosperous as Tori’s horses each help to add to the lineage of the Cherry Blossom Equestrian Center.
