Cara had made a small fortune in the Thoroughbred racing industry, but after witnessing the destruction of the breed through over inbreeding, the all too easy disposal of the individual horses, and the inhumane use of nurse mares (and their foals), Cara had had enough. She sold off what was left of her Thoroughbreds to forever homes and retirement pastures and left Riverview.
Cara inherited Direct Current Stables from her grandfather. The Stables had been one of the best breeding and training facilities in Appaloosa Plains, but soon fell by the wayside. But, Cara was sure to bring the stables back to their former glory.
Miraculously, Cara had found one last survivor of her grandfather's sell off of their family's prized Gypsy Vanner's, DCS Bram Stoker. Descended from the the original Vanners of Direct Current Stables, a direct descendant of the Shire-Clydesdale cross, Vlad the Drakul, his blood had the chance to revitalize the stables.
Cara Lithu, was determined to insure the continuation of this great breed and re-founded the DCS Gypsy Vanner Registry.
Appaloosa Plains was still abandoned, but with new technology, the ability to get supplies was less a matter of location and more of a stable internet connection. With supply deals worked out through sponsorships, Cara could afford to hire a few employees: A Rider and a Trainer.
Bram was too old to compete and more blood was needed if the registry and the breed were to survive. Have searched all over the EU, she finally found three other Draft horses that met the standard for the Vanner breed. These horses were still young enough to compete and were put into training immediately. Soon, they were placing in competition all over the state and country, and Bram's recent siring three Gypsy colts has brought more money to the stables .
To keep Direct Current Stables afloat, it became apparent to diversify and Cara purchased more horses and with them founded an additional two Registries. Now with more money and fully competing horses, Cara is looking for more staff to aid in the ever expanding business that Direct Current Stables has been bringing in.
