Summer Swift was always an animal lover ever since childhood. She was born in Telluride Colorado where she grew up in a small farm house with her mother and father. She was four years old when her younger sister, Kendall was born. She had many cats and dogs growing up but never a horse. Summer always took lessons at the local ranch and originally learned how to ride western.
When Summer was in high school she finally got her first horse, a Trakehner mare named Tamarac. This was the first official horse of the Whitebrook Equestrian Center. Summer was always somewhat of a loner in school, reading books and watching movies rather than going out to the local parties. She made a few close friends but never met any boys that sparked her interest.
Summer went to college in Mesa Flats for animal science and brought her trusty warmblood mare with her. Summer knew instantly she wanted to open her own equestrian center and breed horses. Summer fell in love with a beautiful black stallion at a local sport horse auction and bought him instantly. This stallion, now known as WEC Tanqueray and Tonic, is the foundation stallion of the Whitebrook Equestrian Center Hanoverian breeding program. It was after the WEC was opened in 2005 that Tamarac lost a battle with a severe case of colic. Summer carried on breeding Hanoverians and now has quite a lucrative breeding program and training program for elite warmbloods.
