Thank you so much Manon, Alexander, Mandy, and Allie (one of my riders goes by that name <3)! That's very kind of you to say. : ) I swear I have been building my facilities at snail-speed. I just now finished my arenas (well, actually I still have to do some more in the front, haha) and I think I started building my main residential / stable lot back in late June? I still haven't furnished the inside of the house aside from the bare-bones essentials, either! Pfff! The rest of that lot is all good though. xD One of these days I'll have to motivate myself to build some lots to share with the community. I plan on it. Along with that second world I'm wanting to make, that'll come eventually too. Aaah, it feels as though there is so much to do! xD
Well here's that picture of the course in the indoor arena. I had to zoom out quite a bit to capture the full course. This image somehow makes it look really cramped when in actuality it's pretty darn big. I still haven't placed any lights in there and it's looking a little bare, so more work is in order:
I really wish you could recolor underneath roofs. ; - ;
I don't think I've posted a picture of what the wash stalls look like, so here's one:
Here's looking down one of the barn aisles from inside of the barn:
And here's another picture of the tie area. I know I posted a similar picture before already, but that was the one on other side (there's two of them), hahaha!
Then this little filler. I thought it was cute, it looks like Noni (Infallible) is thinking about eating Allie's hair. Or maybe he's just curious.

*Grabby hands.* Skillz plz.
Shame I just finished my new warmblood barns. I had been wanting to make a stall set-up like that, with the full walls between, but I just couldn't get the measurements to turn out proper.. though I probably wouldn't have been able to make it look any good anyway, since I'm such a fail at painting, harrrrr.
But seriously. Skillz plz..

Ahhhh, but Dimitri you already has so much skillz! And you build so much too, I should be relentlessly begging for your awesome building motivation! xD
Hmm, well allow me to open up my game and take some measurements of my barn for you! I don't know how much they would help, seeing as how measurements vary between different building plans, but I'll do it anyway just in case they might.
Here are two screenshots from above, one showing the length. and one showing the width for the area with the stalls.
So that aisle right there in the picture from the last stall to the entrance is 29 tiles long. The aisle has seven EA stalls in it which are each 6x5 (so 7x5 spaces in total for each including the little side wall), but it could fit eight. Where my eighth stall could have been is where I have my feed room. The barn's 15 squares wide, as I have a 5 square aisle.
The start of the barn in and of itself was set 17 squares away from the front of the lot (which was to include a bit of excess space to accommodate the walk walkway, fountains, etc) and 6 squares away from the nearest side of the lot. The closest walls to the back are 3 squares from the rear end of the lot, though that's the whole building and not just that area with the stalls. ...Eh, okay, maybe all this isn't necessary. xD
Basically each full wall between the stalls is just one extra tile in length to whatever your stall size is. That's how I did mine. Depending on the amount of stalls it's a bit of a space eater, so maybe calculate how many squares exactly that you'll need for your plan before you start building and find a good area on the lot that will accommodate it. When I do measurements, I end up sticking random walls as 'markers' all over the place to demonstrate the perimeters of structures, mainly the building. Actually with my newer arena lot, the first thing I did was divide the lot into 6 squares using a small fence to better help me organize my space, since I struggled with doing that with my first arena lot. In any case, for my barn, I may not have been able to manage fourteen stalls when doing the wall thing if I hadn't built my barn L-shaped because of where I put it. This barn has two-wings because of its shape, so I could put half of my stalls vertically and the other half horizontally.
Ahh, wow, I really rambled, didn't I? xD

The irony being that I actually don't really enjoy building all that much... though I like it when I have a finished product.
But now, armed with these new measurements and ideas, I shall return to the world of Build/Buy mode and start a new project. ...or possibly just renovate an old one to look less-horrible. Because making up new floor plans is haarrrd. Although it will be interesting to see how this turns out as someone who builds custom stalls... 5x6 stalls like the EA ones, but custom nonetheless. Though I will probably stick to my usual 3-6 stalls per barn deal. I dunno, by the 7th and 8th stall my eyes start to wonk out and I decide that I need to chop the barn in half because it's just too big.
CURRENT PROJECT. FINISH FIRST. WAGH.

Aww, really? That is pretty ironic. 'Tis definitely nice finishing stuff.
Well I am eager to see what you come up with! I'm sure it will look very nice. Pfft, and I haven't seen anything of yours that even comes close to "horrible". xD Personally I love floor-planning, when I was younger especially I'd just sit down and draw up barn floor-plans for fun. It was just one of those weird things. Haha, yes, big barns definitely do take up quite a bit of space. xD And small barns are really cute and quaint in any case.

Haha, thank you Isabella! xD MUST GRAB DA HAMMER AND NAILS! AND WOOD. AND OTHER AWESOME BUILDING STUFFS. AND ELECTRICIAN. Man, how awesome would that be if you could magically transfer stuff out of the Sims 3 into real life? It'd be like... gah! Yes please!
EDITED IN: Here's some random shots of June (Shadow Swan) to take up space, I guess. I went and messed with my horses' eyes in-game a little, actually making all of the channels different shades, and I love how they turned out. These are Em's eyes. I didn't put any shine or anything on the eyes for these pictures since I wanted the colors to be visible. All of the horses also have shoes now.
Then, here's randomly trying out an action:
I'm not sure how I feel about it, but then again I'm nooby. I did figure out a new way to do reins / leads / stuff like that, though, and thank goodness for that. Though I admit I was like half asleep when I did this. Overall I was fooling around and such but I decided to post it anyway. xD One of these days I'll actually attempt mane and tail editing...

I am definitely still coming into my own with my editing style, but I'm starting to like where it's going. Here's Nikolaus and Noni (Infallible) being the subjects of today's experimentation.
Heh, and I know Noni is wearing a jumping saddle and a contour pad. They're not competing, just sharpening their skills, just like me. ; )
