This evening we had a group lesson. The riders worked on riding together in the arena, AKA not running into each other. They all worked on their Canter too. Our youngest and newest student rode on Avian (black appy) and she did spendid! Looks like this pony found her new rider for the remainder of the summer! Nikki & Jillian riding Sam & Shanna on Avian in the arena. Evening lesson outside. The students are working on their canter. Jillian, our most experienced student decided to try our new lesson horse War Paint over a cross rail. Let's just say he was having none of it. He started by refusing and pawing the ground. Jill tried to persuade him gently. He refused quite a few more times and Jill gave him a hard squeeze with her heels too. This made War pretty upset and he reared. Jill was scared, but kept her seat and rode through it. By the time darkness fell, War finally gave in and jumped. He was well rewarded, unsaddled and put to bed. Kat the instructor was impressed by Jill's perseverance and they are due to have a private lesson on War very soon.

Did you make an indoor arena in addition to the camp barn?

Cool! Was the living space above the barn not sufficient for you?

I was having a weird glitch where my sims were falling right through the floor top floor. I googled it and no one seemed to have an answer as to why it was happening or how to fix it. Not sure if it was the lot I had placed it on or what.

@grace I don't think it's a problem with your building. I took the floor out and put it back in, but it still did it. I think it's a glitch in my game or the lot I placed your building on.
@ Lance Thank you! We're having a lot of fun with them!

I've been so busy today! The crew and I have been bush wacking our way through the forest next to the summer pasture to make a park/cross country course. There was a beautiful waterfall and stream, so we managed to incoorperate that into the trails. The kids are so excited to have a new place to ride. We'll also probably be hosting some trail shows in the future. The Cabin/Rest Area with 1 stall, a bathroom and small kitchen. Great place to take a break before you head home. Parking lot with room for a trailer or two. Fork in the road beside parking lot. Which way will you go? Waterfall & bridge #1 Picnic anyone? Overview Forest beyond the bridge Field approach Little Pond Rest Area Hay Field Forest Ranger's Tower 2nd Bridge Campsite Heading back to the entrance Back again!

Blair & the crew finally finished clearing the land and building a run in for the pastured horses. This large field is perfect and even has a pond. Great for retirees or horses who aren't showing or working in the lesson program right now. Mrs, Darnell rode over with a few of them. Luckily Barbie & Pedro follow the cows without any problems. Blair & Hunter are getting ready to trailer over to a Trail event, you'll see pictures of their trip soon!

Blair entered Epona in his first show. He was a dream and performed extremely well. Blair was so proud of him for being so calm and especially for trailering well. He was a pack of nerves when she first got him. She let him settle in and get use to his surroundings for a few weeks before actually riding him. Warming up in the arena, getting out all Epona's energy before grooming and trailering! As you can see, he was very calm. Introducing him to a scary jump. This horse is bombproof on the trail, but scared of the scary training stuff. Brushing! Cleaning hooves! Trailering like a pro! Tacking up at the trails Sidepass Loping over poles Crossing a bridge Tyra decided to make a victory BBQ dinner to surprise Blair when she got home. Yeah.... That didn't go as planned.....
