Thankyou
& yes, Raven is clipped. Iunno. I wanted to play with the clipped markings & since I was showing her she's the ideal victim
Ohk. Phew. That took longer than I thought.. I got a bit carried away -fans face-. Oh god, I'm never going to be able to shut up now. I've been dying to blab on and on about my facilities for the longesstt time. This will be a heavy post!
First things first - I saw I photo of a stable like this & was smitten. It was a picture of some old english stables with this kinda drab, unfancy outside leading to this beautifully planted & extravagant, working stableyard.
This is the courtyard leading to the house. Honestly... the house was an afterthought in building this lot. Parts of it are okay - I particularly like having the pretty chair in the picture window - but most of it is "You sims keep cramming into the bathroom and complaining at me! Fine - have another bathroom right next to it!"
My horses get frills & prettiness.. my sims get function. Unless its visable from the outside where I might be taking pictures.. then it gets to be pretty too.
Tiny little sneak peek at my hayloft. I -may- have completely renovated my barn to make space for my border collies.
All these random angles & stuff get confusing, so I took a birds-eye view of the ground level of my lot. You can kinda see that it has a giant '+' with the round pen in the middle? I built it with the idea that I could convert more sides into stable blocks if I needed to but.. I like it more like this
. Since I built this world I set it with sidewalks between all the different lots I wanted so the 'roads' leading out of the main lot actually become the main thoroughfares of my farm.
This is the dressage arena in the photos earlier, but the 'human' part of it 'cause I'm in love with it and I don't usually have much of an excuse to show it off haha.
This is the one jump in my crosscountry course that I like. Honestly, I'm useless at jumping courses... mine always look like I tipped a bucket full of jumps onto a hill. Or a sand arena... :/
I'd actually love it if someone could build me a pair of showjumping arenas but the lots would have to be the exact size to fit in the spaces on my world and thats kinda hard to cater to. Ah well.
Woohoo, racetrack! I can never think what to put in the middle of racetracks, so more random seating it is! Nice little place to read under the glass ceiling & watch your prize ponies train.
Hokay. I recently renovated this the other day when I noticed what an eyesore it was, sitting alone on a giant lot. So now it has my giant arch-y indoor arena on one side....
.. and a planted grass arena with a(nother) seating area! Woo, seating areas. For sim spectators, yeah!
It also has a whole bunch of ponds & trees in the front part of the lot for pictures, which you can see in the foreground of both those shots.
& finally to clear up and/or create more confusion - an overview. This is a small part of a world I made called Silver Isles. I -maybe- made it especially for the name I chose - sa Planine means 'From the mountain' in serbian - so my stables are in a forested crater above a small town.
Well, hope you enjoyed my ranting & my pictures
I enjoyed telling you about them even if you skimmed past them or... don;t speak english, or something.
Let me know what you think
