Born Cole Genevieve Sparks (originally "Scarmazzi," but her trainer suggested she take Sparks on as a "stage name" to ease the announcers' worries) on a somewhat-chilly day in October, Cole has never gone wanting for anything in her life. She grew up completely charmed, spending her days cliff-jumping and sailing and swimming in the cerulean blue ocean around her island home. It wasn't very practical to take up horseback riding on the island, as much of the landscape was too rocky and dangerous for even the most sure-footed of horses to navigate, but the mainland was just a fifteen minute ferry ride away - perhaps this was foreshadowing to her future life on an island, Seehoft, just off the coast of Riverview - and she began taking lessons twice a week.
By the time she was thirteen, she was spending every possible second at the stables, and at seventeen, she was looking at universities that would allow her to continue riding. A bright girl, Cole had quite the pick of universities, from the schooling stables in Germany to the steeplechase-centered productions in Ireland. But Cole had her eye on one in particular in the little town of Riverview, and that's where her story is right now. She's working to complete her education, which has always been the most important thing to her, while juggling her responsibilities at the stable and her responsibilities to her "baby Chomps."
