Casey was born in North Sweden and lived there until she was 4, when her parents decided to move to Australia for a change. She grew up just outside of Melbourne going to a private school, where she learned horse-riding. She also took lessons at a stable nearby riding a thoroughbred gelding called Harley. When she was 14, her parents leased Harley for her after her asking them all the time. When she graduated high school, she went to university to study Equine Science, taking Harley with her for the riding component. Not long before she graduated, she was sitting in her dorm room when she read of a stables in Cloverdale that had burnt down and was now being sold because the couple couldn't afford the repairs to keep the place going. After she graduated, she quit her job and took her life savings and Harley and moved to Cloverdale, despite her parent's disapproval. She poured her heart into restoring the stables to what they are today and creating a home for the horses.
