Emelia is the second oldest child of the Potter family - she was born and raised in Riverview on a small retreat right above the river. She had a very good childhood, she loved to play outside with the farm animals and the neighbors children, even when she often had troubles with her parents. They wanted a daughter playing with dolls and helping with the household, but Emelia had no interest in doing so. She preferred to be outside. Her favorite hangout during her childhood was a big corn field next to her farm. It didn't belong to her family so she lived with the fear that the combine harvester would suddenly appear and kill her because no one could see her hidden in the corn. It never happened though.
When she was older, Emelia visited Gooseberry Riding Academy twice a week. Her parents owned two horses at that time and so she could ride on her own. She always loved those animals more than everything and she enjoyed her riding lessons as much as trail riding after school or small fun shows in the village. In summer she and her sister often rode bareback on the horses down to the river to have some fun in the cool water. Emelia and Elaina still do that, sometimes even with a group of other riders.
Her parents traveled a lot and so she visited great Britain, Germany and a lot of other countries. Emelia's parents raised her bilingual so she had no problem talking with the German folks, she even stayed in Germany for college but soon missed her home. After she went back to America she started to work on her parents farm but soon knew, that her passion for horses was something she would never loose.
It was at an auction where she first saw an Oldenburg horse and fell in love with those big but gentle horses. She then decided that this would be the horses she would breed and after moving together with her sister into an empty equestrian center she bought her first stallion.
