Hahaha, it's perfect!! I seriously am so ecstatic, you have no idea! I literally took one look at the image and let out an audible squeal. Pretty sure my hubby thinks I'm crazy now (if he didn't before, ha!). It tickles me to see her with Rena for a cameo--I'm excited that I'll get to do the same for you, soon(ish)! I love Rena's thoughts about her, too--a very astute observation. <3 I'm really excited to see Dusty in someone else's game, too--she would be *horrible* in a jumping competition, but all the better for Rena. So she wins. Ahem. GO RENA! Also want to say--I love the writing on this chapter. The dynamic between her and Maybel is priceless. I absolutely love reading about them--I just ooze all over the place from the adorables! ♥ I shall be hanging in the balance with Rena while we wait for those results! I have dusty in my game as well:P he's too cute whenever i'm planning on lisa to have a baby he will be her/his pony when he or she grows up^^ Okay back to topic, i am loving this story more and more!

Nice update for Rena. I personally think it rocks that the two stories I read update within the same day or so. Kaleeko@Equus: Dusty might be horrible at an upper level show, but this is basically a beginner show, ones that riders on school horses or ponies. I think Dusty could stand stretching over a few beginner jumps and not kill Margo. (First horse I ever showed on was a schooling horse who had his own ideas about what to do and when. He hated jumping for real, but didn't protest at cantering over a few low jumps for beginners and was rock steady at shows since he had the "been there done that" mentality.)

I should be updating Rena's story daily but uh, I tend to get stuck, haha. That and I've been doing more things during the day that just completely distract me from doing this >>
With her eyes squeezed shut, she sat in the saddle. She didn’t think she’d be able to get down without her knees completely giving out on her because she was shaking so badly. Except now it was moreso from the adrenaline of competing rather than nerves but she figured it was a bit of both.
She could hear the names being called and as more names were called, she resigned herself to the fact that she hadn’t placed. This was her first show after all, she couldn’t expect to place in it with no experience.
“And finally the Beginner Division Champion goes to Rena Humble aboard MAE Morning Smoke!”
Her grip went slack and she nearly fell forward as she glanced up and saw Mags gesturing to take the ribbon from the woman standing next to her and she reached down, her smile shaky as she took it delicately.
It looked so… perfect. But that didn’t make any sense, it was just a ribbon. No… it meant that she was worth something; that they were worth something. It meant they had succeeded at something, anything.

“Smile for the camera, dear,”
Ellen said with a smile as Terry and her walked up to Rena after the awards ceremony had finished. She brought the camera up and snapped a quick shot while Rena grinned, almost not looking awkward at all. Almost.
“It’s not fair! She’s completely clumsy and inept, she shouldn’t have won,”
Johanna grumbled, a sour look on her face as she watched the scene from afar. It really wasn’t fair, she had looked better and was prettier and she kept perfect control of her horse; it’s obvious that she should’ve won.
She planned on doing everything to win the next time around.

Wow, congrats. I knew that someday you were gonna show them how to ride "properly". (maybe you should finish editing the first pic, it seems the Maybel's mane is missing? and some reins?)

That'd be my fault for editing pictures at midnight, haha. Thanks for pointing that out, that's embarassing, haha.

Uh oh, Johanna will do 'everything' to make sure she wins at the next show...do I see sabotage in her future? I think I do xD She seems like the typical snobby rider that blames other people when they lose (OMG, di you see that girl?! She like, cut me off and made me stop cantering right in front of the judge!) xD

Honestly, I imagine her doing anything to win and that definitely includes sabotage. I don't know if I'll work that into the story but you'll see the first 'installment' of what she's doing to beat Rena today. Earlier update because I took these pictures a week ago and was just waiting for the right time to post them. Also, I will be gone the next week so there will be no updates. I know I tend to update sporadically as it is, which is never my intention, but just wanted to post that to mention it. I'm bringing my laptop but I don't have Sims installed on it so that's not going to help me, haha. I'll probably still be on the forum but other than that, I can't actually contribute anything >>
Rena’s Diary: Entry 13
Hey there Diary, haven’t written in you for a few days. I was away at a show and I won! I mean, I got the Beginner Division Champion title! It’s my first show, first win, first ribbon… I just don’t know how I got so lucky
Of course, Johanna wasn’t happy about it but I was determined not to let her ruin my day. I mean, I deserve to be happy just like anybody else, right?
But I saw the extent of her unhappiness when I arrived to the stable today for my usual lesson and realized Cookie wasn’t there anymore. Instead, I met Bucie. Well, that isn’t his name but it’s what I call him; his actual name is Bucephalus. He’s a purebred Irish Draught and he’s gorgeous. I’ve snuck up to the paddock fence and given him a carrot once, though I know Johanna would hate me even more if she knew
Of course, she bragged about how he’s the best horse and I didn’t miss her purposely glancing at me while I was spending some of my downtime with Maybel in the paddock that day.
Either way, I like him even if the reasoning behind why he’s here isn’t the best [for me]. I snuck a few photos while Johanna was practicing so I’ll stick them in here so you can see for yourself what he looks like. And yeah, I’m pretending you can totally see him
Night!

I'm completely aware it's taken me a long time to update but I'm slowly getting everything together again so here's an update.
Rena’s Diary: Entry 14
Wow, I haven’t written in you in a long time, have I? Sorry :c I’ve just been super busy this summer, which is unusual for me. Most of my summers are spent doing nothing, but summer means time off which means I can spend more time with Maybel and that’s always a good thing!
My riding has improved a lot, I can confidently say that. I went from doing beginner hunter/jumpers and cross country to even dabbling in dressage (where we placed third!) and now I’m working on doing intermediate jumps with Maybel which is more exciting than it is scary but it’s both at the same time. I’ve got three ribbons so far, for 3rd, 4th and 5th places. I’m apparently better at dressage than anything else but Maybel loves to jump so I’m torn, heh.
Stupid hair is always in my face now, but my mother refuses to let me cut it because she wants me to be more girly so I braid it loosely to get her off my back. She means well but… she’s not my dad.
Hm… let’s see what else… Dominick’s being tutored over the summer, I’m trying to find a part-time job and I still email Sven occasionally to talk about Maybel. I don’t know how I got so lucky, I really don’t.
Night!
