Brooke was born and raised in a small town called Arkham and when she graduated high school, she immediately moved
as far away as she could get without leaving the country. That was Bridgeport. There, she really identified with the urban scene and collected a variety of tattoos and cultivated
an alternative lifestyle that never would have been approved of in such a small town like Arkham. Most of her friends were in
bands or were tattoo artists -- or just artists in general. They partied and drank and lived the sort of wild life that could only inevitably end up nowhere. They were in love with life and lived it to the
fullest.
However, when she was 24, her grandmother died. Her grandmother was a woman who nearly raised her and
Brooke easily identified her as a second mother.
With the loss of such an important person in her life, Brooke decided to go back to her roots in order to figure out what was most important to her and to get her life back on track.
So she moved back to the country and decided to go back to school in Appaloosa Plains. There she studied biology and business (weird combo) and made friends with Magda Price
who worked at Iron Lake Acres Hanoverian Breeding Farm. She had always been in love with horses as a small girl so she went with Magda several times to check it out and go for rides.
She found herself so enamored with the equestrian lifestyle, she began to pitch in around the farm part-time and even began to lease one of their horses, PES Piece of Cake, in order to
hone her riding skills.
As she finished her bachelor's degree, she began to work with Adelia J. Rhys -- owner and founder of Iron Lake Acres -- in their business office and soon found herself a full time
staff member. Now, she works full time on their newly constructed yearling facility and in their business office making sure things go smoothly.
In the future, she'd like to buy her own horse to keep, train, and compete with.
