The full name for this is: "Amanda's Secret Project only Erin kinda-sort of knew about because she's the one I most recently bought a foal from"
What is this project?
I am building several worlds. As you may know I posted pictures about a month ago of a world I was building for MSE. Well, I realized I needed to "practice" with smaller worlds before trying to make the largest map-size. I decided to put this in Member Albums because I do not plan to release these worlds for download. Not because I don't like you (you all know that isn't true), but because 1. I've never made a world before and I expect it to be very buggy and 2. I'm making these very specific to my needs and my needs are sometimes very odd and ridiculous.
Anyway, back to this. I then thought about what smaller worlds I should make.
I decided to make several "vacation" worlds. These worlds would be vacation worlds since they will have a base camp, but the purpose is not for vacation game-play, but rather further expanding MSE gameplay and breeding.
In my horse or staff bios I try to incorporate the history of my two starting breeds, the Akhal-Teke and Nez Perce. Related breeds with a related history, and a tragic one at that. I thought then I would make my worlds based on the homeland of both these breeds. Afterward, I'd make lots specific to each region and then move some of my current sims/horses to each area to create these themed worlds.
The Nez Perce Native American Tribe was a nomadic people, but could be localized to North Central Idaho. The Akhal-Teke, of course, originated in Turkmenistan.
I've neither been to Idaho nor Turkmenistan, but the two "breeder" worlds I'm making are based on these two areas In addition I'm thinking of adding an European branch for my growing amount of Warmbloods, but I'm not certain about that.
Anyway, I didn't want to say anything because of how fickle CAW can be. But I've worked on this small world for the past several days and it is nearly finished.
I present below the first world, still very much WIP, the new home of American Paint Horses, Appaloosas, Quarter Horses and Nez Perce and center for Western shows. It is a small world built entirely from scratch (started with the small flat height map).
I actually geo-mapped Turkmenistan and created the height map from there which means I don't have to start from scratch for that world, but I'm planning to make that one a medium-sized map which will lead nicely to my return to my large-sized base world.
Last fun fact: For all it's annoyances, I rather enjoy making waterfalls in CAW.
