I am trying to create horses I know irl, and some of them have almost no forelock to speak of (TBs mostly, haha) and was wondering if there was a way to make a slider, or maybe a mesh for it?
If somebody would like to give this a go I'd be extremely grateful!

If I'm right there are no bones in manes so is it not possible to make a slider.

I dont actually understand how you couldn't make a slider for that. Someone DID make a slider for tail thickness, and thats not actually a bone! It is just more hair! All the forelock slider would be is more/less hair..

what they mean by "bone" in this case is that the tail is a moveable part of the horse, while the mane in game always stays the same and never moves. it's basically just an accessory like a halter. it's not possible, as far as we know, to make a slider for manes. it is possible, however, to mesh a new mane style, which has already been done.

All the forelock slider would be is more/less hair.. Like already mentioned, the tail is an animated "bone" while manes are simply decoration that don't move at all. Kind of like how Sims's hair doesn't have a slider, it just sits on their head like a hat.

I might be mistaken, but shouldn't it in theory be possible to manually create bones for a new mane mesh (or even make default replacements)? I'm not that deep into TS3 meshing, but similar things have been created for other games, in some cases modders even replaced the default skeletons of creatures. I don't see why this shouldn't be possible? :-)

Heh, a "bone" is a different thing in TS3 than it is in real life ;P
