I grew up in Appaloosa Plains with my mom and dad. I grew up in a small house near town, overlooking the river valley below, and the horse ranch and equestrian center therein. As a child, I dreamed of having my very own horse and being able to ride anywhere I pleased. I thought my dreams of riding a horse would never come true, until I met Brandon Martell. He was an outgoing boy of ten and I was a rough-and-tumble tomboy of eight. We became fast friends. Brandon's father owned one of the largest horse ranches in Appaloosa Plains. I would often go to Brandon's house and from there to the ranch where I could watch him at his lessons and spend some time around the horses. Brandon eventually convinced his dad to pay for riding lessons for me and I loved every minute of it! Over the next several years, I excelled in my riding lessons and began competing alongside Brandon. As a teenager, I continued my equine education and competing. I also worked as a stable hand at the ranch where I learned a great deal about horse care. Before going off to college, Brandon and I made it our goal to own and operate our own horse ranch together after college graduation. After graduation Brandon and I found what looked to be a promising location for our ranch in Avila Valley. While it took a little longer than expected, and some money from Brandon's dad to start out, Brandon and I are finally on our way and looking forward to the future!
