You can still do it without a tablet, you just have to use your mouse and draw it the same way she does. I don't understand why you think it's a lot different, other than maybe because a bit easier if you're good at drawing "regularly" because it's like a pen and paper (at least that's how I imagine it, haha).

Actually theey have the Intuos 5 now. I'm already considering buying one of them. Amanda is medium size big enough to work comfortably with it? I think it's just the right size. It fits right over my laptop keyboard so I don't have to create a space for it. It has a good amount of working space. I think a larger size would require a more desk space and the such.

Well, you can practice and get better. Or buy a tablet, depends on which one you're more willing to do. I'm more willing to practice with what I have because it's the same concept of brush sizes and what not whether I'm using a tablet or using my mouse I mean... if you can't draw with a mouse then a tutorial that doesn't use a tablet is still useless. A tablet won't make you a better drawer..
