Yep. That's right. I'm an RP DORK. I've been doing it since I was 11, and I'm now 18. : )
So anyways.
Any RP I start on the Forums (any RP that takes place at the HEC, or at any stable agreed upon by myself and the other RPer) can be picked up n my stable site, just so it's easier to follow.
Every now and then, I may post a Role Play add here and anyone who is interested can take it up Mostly I prefer this method because I've never been a fan of BIG forums-- they're just too hard to follow for me.
I plan on starting the RP here, but first, I would like to pitch my idea and then anyone who is interested can message me in Cbox on my site and I will then post an opener. (I'm just not a believer in posting for nothing)
So anyways, I'd love to hear from anyone, and I'm open to ideas
If anyone is interested, bump me a message in the Cbox~
"Elaina Aldini is a skilled rider in the English discipline and her senior year at high school has been quickly ebbing away. She's soon to start college, a private institution devoted to Equine Studies in the scenic areas of Vermont.
Elaina plans to take her most prized possession, favorite companion, and best friend with her; her horse. She owns a 15.1hh Arabian stallion, who she aptly named Dr. Zhivago after one of her favorite tales.
As summer is approaching, Elaina is beginning to get herself and her horse ready for her first year as a freshman at the coed private institution."
That's just the basis of what I'd like to go for/the background of Elaina and Dr. Z, but as for where the RP goes, that's up to our brains : )
For now, this is just a character summary, but I won't post an actual OPENING POST until someone says that they're interested on the Cbox : )
EDIT:Okay, a little information on the setting before this RP gets going.
As a starter, being that is to be set (initially) before Elaine goes to college, I'm going to open with Elaine at the HEC, since she's an HEC rider, and also because I wouldn't mind RPing at my own stable.
This is definitely NOT The main setting, just a place, so if anyone is confused about the imagery, you can see the stable on my site.
(Starting small!)
He was doing it again. Elaine watched as the stubborn six year old lowered his head and began to paw at the ground of the arena with his front right hoof. He had stopped mid canter, shook his head, gave an irritated snort and was now doing what he was doing. His mane, grown long, the way Elaine liked it, fell across his crown and covered his forehead as he began to lower himself in an attempt to roll. Why was he being so difficult today?
“Zee!” she snapped, giving a firm pull on the lounge line that she held in her left hand.
The horse raised his head, looked at her with matching brown eyes and then gave another little snort. “Why do you always have to be so stubborn?” she said to him gently, setting down the long training whip that was used to follow the horse’s hind quarters. Slowly, she approached him, a smile planted firmly upon her face, despite her frustration with him.
Three times she had tried to get the stallion to canter over the blue tarp that was a pretend area of water and three times he had refused. It was held in place by the long trot poles, so it was stationary. The stubborn Arabian, Dr. Zhivago had walked over the tarp easily enough and had even ventured to try a trot as well, but cantering… forget it.
As she approached him, the stallion lifted his head, bright eyes regarding her warmly as he lowered his head to greet her. Elaine stretched out her free hand and brushed him lightly on his muzzle before leaning in to kiss him on the bridge of his nose. “That’s alright. You’ll get it, Zee. Sooner or later you’ll need to cross it.” Finally, she took a small step back and wound the lounge line into a loose circle around her hand, coiling it up and leading the horse back towards the fence that encompassed the arena. He went willingly, his brown ears pricked forward as he listened to the quiet footsteps of his owner. He pushed his muzzle against her, making a small sound that she wouldn’t understand. Elaine knew that Zee hadn’t wanted to disappoint her, but she also knew that the horse was well aware of the simple fact that would always forgive him. The tall trees that surrounded the southern edge of the arena cast a long shadow over them as they passed through the gate and out onto the path that would lead back up to the barn.
The Heines Equestrian Center was where Elaine had been boarding Dr. Zhivago since her grandfather had given him to her. It was a large stable that extended across more than four hundred acres of lush pasture and virgin forests. The stables itself were spread out into several different stables, each housing a different type of horse. However, the stable’s main focus was acting as an American based stud for the Württemberger and Rhinelander breeds. But they accepted various other types of horses, especially into their Main Stable, which was where Elaine kept Zee.
So anyways.
