Rita grew up a tomboy after her mother died in a car accident early in her daughter's life. She loved being outdoors with her older brothers and did everything with them while she was growing up. Rita became so much 'one of the guys', she started to get in trouble at school for getting into fights with older boys who picked on her friends. To try and give her an outlet (and a more feminine side), Rita's father enrolled her at her local riding school. From her first day, she knew she had found her life's passion. In order to spend as much time as she could around horses, she began volunteering her time after school to much out stables and help out around the barn.
After high school. Rita completed her degree in Equine Business Management with the dreams of managing her own stable. Under the guidance of a career adviser, Rita began traveling the world as a working pupil to gain as much experience in the industry as possible. She found this especially hard, as she had never been away from her father and brothers for an extended period of time before then. Not being used to being around so many women and the cattiness that inevitably follows, Rita began to revert into herself and throw all of her emotions into her work. This did not go unnoticed by a co-worker Brooke Velli, and the two soon became close friends.
After a long friendship, Brooke told Rita that she would be leaving their work to establish Olive Park, and she offered her a job. Not forgetting her dream of starting her own performance stables, Rita accepted the offer in the hopes of learning and growing as much as she could in the equine industry. Her short term goals include breeding her own Trakehner foal from OP Basillico (her favourite stallion at Olive Park), and earn the position of Barn Manager under Brooke.
