Isabelle Delauney, or “Bella” as she likes to be called, spent the first 24 years of her life growing up in Appaloosa Plains. Having lost her French-decent mother at the tender age of 2 years old, she was raised by her German-decent father and her granny.
She lost her heart to horses the first time her father, a professional horse trainer, took her to his equestrian center. Any free time she had, you could always find her there pestering the grooms, riders, and even the horses. Although she loves all animals, her first love is horses. As a teenager she often helped with the care of the horses and one evening 2 1/2 years ago she was the only one able to calm a mare who was having her first foal. When the little foal was born, she stood up and went straight over to Bella. It was love at first sight for both of them. Bella named her Hyacinthe and they are inseparable. Bella loves the natural grace and speed of horses and secretly wants to become a professional jockey, but Appaloosa Plains doesn’t have a local jockey club.
Bella’s granny recently passed away, but before she did she encouraged Bella to pursue her dreams and told her of a wonderful location – Moonlight Falls – and about the home and inheritance waiting for her there when granny was gone. And the best part, they have a jockey club!
So Bella followed her granny’s last wish – she hugged her father goodbye, packed up her stuff, loaded Hyacinth into the horse trailer and headed off to Moonlight Falls.
