I have seen more and more demand for tables.
What is a table? it is <table>
What are the rows? they are <tr>
What are the columns? they are <td>
How do you organize it so that its all in one table and not jumbled?
By using the modifier "rowspan"
For example
Appears like so...
OKAY let's break my table down.
<table width="500" border="0" margin="0" padding="0" style="border-collapse: collapse;">
This gets rid of all borders and space around the table. There's no gaps between each cell.
<td rowspan=4 style="border:0;">
Spans the one row the whole height. the "Style" tag is used just as you would CSS... the contents after the equal sign must be INSIDE quotations.
<td style="border-bottom: 1px solid #000000;">
I know it seems to have become popular to have borders like this! This is just the bottom border. You can create left, right, or top. You can even take away the "-bottom" and it would create the border all the way around the cell.
1px solid #000000
1px = width of the border
solid = style of the border
#000000 = color of the border
Want to easy-test your table? - open up notepad, put your table in it, save it as a YOURDOCUMENTNAME.html then when you click on the document it will open it in a browser. - I find this the fastest way to edit small sections of HTML.
Reminder; for every <tr> there is a </tr> for every <td> there is a </td> and so on[/size]
If you need help just email, PM or reply c: I'll try my best..even if I'm slow and I know some others understand html to help you out..if they wanted to of course
