Have you thought about doing scales? Either regional or free marking. Would be great for our more...vicious fantasy horses. or for kirins, asian unicorns

o-o No, actually, I hadn't thought of that. I'll get right on that. Yay! I was going to make some for a specific fantasy horse, but I haven't tried any markings yet and I have lots of meshing keeping me from making them myself. Also could be good for water horses

Also could be good for water horses I can't mesh, or do regional markings yet, ^_^" but I enjoy doing markings and these are easy with a pen tool. I'm also working on Ryan's requests, but I have a hard time using references.. No idea why. XD They'll be done eventually though! If you don't like them, you don't have to download them, I understand some people prefer more realism, but I think enough people do realism so I don't really need to.. So.. Yeah.

Thanks ^_^ I've been working on these scales all day and I think they need a little more work. They'd be great for a texture though. I'm going to add a few things because as it is, you have to cover the entire horse with scales for it to look alright, so I'm going to add 'Endings' so you can make patches of scales. Ideally, this marking should be kept small, but not /too/ small. Teaser, anyone? oi49.tinypic.com/17vam8.jpg

I like the idea of being able to make patches of scales. Right now they look great for a water horse, but for a reptilian horse like I want to make, the patches would work better. Still great job! Can't wait to use them in game. Must now make the split hooves so I have everything to make my crazy horse.... Also just saw your horses are all Akhal-Tekes! Yay!

OMG robopony is awesome. That would be a neat marking for horses. I would defiantly use it. As well as the scales! Your both just making me want to start making my fantasy stables sooner! XD

I think it's my "My Little Pony" fandom sifting through but I do still love my exotic looking, fantasy horses as much as my realistic ones. So when I finally get my whole thing set up, I'll have both, as well.

On the Scales, not sure if it's too late, but I would suggest (if possible) to make the scales smaller on the head, or a bit more sparse. The scales there are just a bit too large for head coverage. Otherwise, the rest look fantastic and patch scales will be really nice!
