Well, take a look at the paths that are already in the .bat and find where those locations are on your computer specifically

Oh. C: Gotcha. Thanks so much! <3
EDIT:
Checked everything over. o.O They are all in the same place as listed in the .bat file. Is this a good thing?

You'll have to test it and see ^^ I'm pretty sure XP Is "MY Documents" not just "Documents" though.

sadly this didnt work for me in terms of reducing lag I spent $300 upgrading my computer including buying a nice gtx 560 graphics card. While every other game runs perfectly, the sims actually got worse

I guess I'm the only with this question. Since I like to keep my laptop in good shape, and use the FPS limiter so my graphics card doesn't fry(and if you guys don't use it, seriously consider it), is there any way I'd be able to use the bat files with the bat file for the fps limiter? Or am I basically stuck using one of these?
I use an acer laptop as well, most my graphics are set on high and I really don't have that much lag unless I use a very populated stuffed world. I just have endless loading screens if I try to complete a family in cas.

TS3 will go into the hundreds since there's no cap on it. Have you tried using the fps limiter?

I haven't tried an fps limiter but I've set vsync to turn on for ts3 through the nvidia panel. Fps is capped at 60 but the problem is that it drops below 20 when I'm moving the camera around.

It's beyond frustrating. I feel like theres some kind of setting with the graphics card that I've missed. I'm starting to suspect an issue with my ram though. I've had issues with this computer since I got it. Works fine for months at a time but out of the blue it acts up for a week where it freezes intermittently (like stuck sim lag, only its my whole computer) or it forgets I have a harddrive. I've replaced the harddrive (twice), motherboard, psu and graphics card trying to figure it out. IT guys can't even figure it out. Still, its odd to have an issue with only one game.

That does sound extremely frustrating. What brand of computer is it? Does it ever get really heated up? The heat might cause lag?

Do I have to download those files you wrote about or could I just delete the files DCbackup?
