So I have decided to use the horse life generator for breeding and Health and Death. Not sure about training yet lol but I want to add more realism and interest to my game But I have had a lucky year for the most part the horses are healthy except for a few incidents such as SER/HAA Sekhmib bumped her head on her stall but is now recovering quiet nicely! My little girl Bathsheba still so young fractured her leg and is still recovering SER/RA Thee Farhan was taken out for a nice ride and was attacked by our neighbor dog! He was bit but luckily the injury wasn't serious and Farhan walked away from it. Other then that we have healthy happy horses and foals

I used the Horse Life Generator this month.. I decided to change a couple things. It tried to kill BOTH of my yearling colts, lol

LOL it's super frustrating I am afraid it's going to kill a lot or all of my horses >.< but having so many horses and not having seasons right now is a little less exciting. So I am adding realism to make it more interesting lol

Oh nooo! RIP Fine Design I looked at him and he is breathtaking! so what do you guys do when it comes to horses you just bought from other people? Do you make the chance of them dying way less likely, or do you only allow them to be injured?

I think if you're going to use the Horse Life generator, you should commit to it all the way. It's your choice to use it so you accept the consequences. You bought horses from other people so you can use the generator on them and accept the consequences and people will understand because you chose to have your game be more realistic

Hmm...I am just testing so far, but wouldn't it be more likely people wouldn't want to sell their horses to me for fear of the unknown?

Well, it's not like every horse is going to have a disaster happen to it. I would do something where if the disaster shows up then I would use a randomizer and randomize between 1 and 2 with 1 being yes (that it happens) and 2 being no (doesn't happen) to have a random chance of 'skipping' a disaster if it happens to pop up.

Sounds like a good idea Lizbeth But your right I need to commit to it if I decide to stop testing and move forward with it. Thank you!

I don't use the horse life generator to decide my horses fates, I just made up my own version that makes death a lot less likely, but as far as selling and buying... I would still sell to a person I new used it, I mean it's so much more realistic, horses are injured and have to be put down all the time, it sucks and nobody wants it to happen, but I think we all get it, plus it adds emotion to the game, to have your favorite horse die, or your top competitor break a leg... I still want to use my "generator" on horses I buy, but I will make it much harder for them to die, like if they get a bad outcome then I say, well they can have surgery to fix the problem, then re-roll the die to see if they come out of the surgery ok or not just my opinion

That sounds good also, I think I will roll a die for any hard decisions like death and infertility. Since that is still the main part of my farm(still transitioning into showing) I think it's a smart idea to make it even less likely for death since this is still the sims after all But I like adding emotion and semi-realism to it :] So I think I have made up my mind to do it and use it on all horses. Definitely going to be super different compared to my normal gameplay lol

Lol Bella hehe yeah I will monitor how many horses it says to kill and randomize which ones go usually. There are a few horses like Khazeem, Ghazal and a few mares I refuse to part with right now lol

I think it's best if you ask before you buy and if the breeder doesn't want the horse to die, just make the horse "immortal" in the generator It can still keep the realistic aspect of injuries etc but if the breeder dislikes the dying-part, you can just check the immortal box. I keep all horses bought elsewhere immortal. Only horses bred by me or made by me are in danger to die :x It's evil machine since it killed Don Rigoletto and Shania for example... but the realism is what I wanted and that's what I got In the future horses, I'll always ask in the application if it's okay to use it. If it is, I stop checking immortal for that horse.
