Ugh. Now I feel like a douche. Edit: Wait do I follow these exact same steps if I want to make a pose for dogs?

Haha, no worries, it's very confusing in the beginning, that's what the thread is here for. The process for dogs is exactly the same, yep--except for the 'ad_' prefix on the CLIP instead of 'ah_'.

Then I must have done something wrong. Everythings ok until step 9. Its kind of confusing me. I didn't see anything that said Import>File. I think I'm going to check the video too and see if that helps.
Edit: Watched the video and I think I have everything. Yay! Gonna test it tommorrow! Edit #2: Well I tried it out and sadly the horse just stood there frozen in time. I don't know what I did but by any chance when you do loc rot do the little lock icons on the left hand panel also lock?

Edit #2: Well I tried it out and sadly the horse just stood there frozen in time. I don't know what I did but by any chance when you do loc rot do the little lock icons on the left hand panel also lock? (On Edit 2) -- No, they typically do not. "LocRot" only saves the current pose position into keyframes, it does not actually 'lock' the positions. If the pose is 'freezing' halfway through trying to play, try queueing up the pose again before canceling the previous action in the queue. Sometimes the pose player acts a little glitchy and can't quite get the sim fully posed. Sometimes persistence in that regard pays off. If, however, you're still having issues actually getting YOUR pose to play (ie, it's still playing the original horse pose), I may need you to walk me through your steps in Blender so I can guess what you might be doing wrong. I'm having trouble downloading the Blank_Poses.package.... The Mediafire link won't work. Unfortunately, some idiot decided to claim I was breaking the EULA with a bunch of my downloads, so they were all suspended for violation. I need to figure out how to prove they are not in fact pirated material, but I'm not sure how to do that. I could just re-upload them, but the last thing I want is for my account to get banned or just have them removed again.

Ah, sorry, that sucks! How big is the file? If you can e-mail it to me (lavistahf@gmail.com), I'd be happy to see if I can host it on my own server.

margo, if you create a weebly site until you can prove it, they can be uploaded there without mediafire?

All right. So I opened up s3pe and followed your exact steps I clicked open and opened up your Blank Poses Package. Then I selected the horse pose. The one that starts with ah right? I typed in the name in the proper space and extracted it to the desktop. Then I opened up blender and opened up the ahrig.blend file. I imported the file on my desktop from s3pe then made a pose. When I was done I hit a and did LocRot. I exported it. Then I went vack into s3pe to save it and I did everything. I double checked to see if I had txped 0x48000000 and I did. I saved it, placed in my mods folder, and tried it in game. The horse just stood there. In the basic position you see when you open up the horse rig. Am I doing anything wrong?

mhmm ... I followed all the steps precisely and now when I want to test my poses in game, it crashes I get a message that "blablabla fault, you wish to debug?" I've got no idea what I did wrong ...

I had never tried anything like this but I was inspired by your tutorial. I made myself a pose! It's not perfect (the mane stretches oddly and the back leg is bent a little further than it should) but it works! Thank you for this - It's fantastic!

Any updates on the EULA thing? I was completely motivated to try making some dog poses but couldn't since I can't download the blank poses. If you need somewhere to temporarily upload them I'll happily host them for you.

I agree with Hannah, I've been wanting to create my own poses for some time now because I'm tired of downloading them from multiple people, but unfortunately couldn't download the blank poses.
I've also got a dropbox account, if you would like to put them up there for public download.

Maybe I'm just being dumb, but I can't seem to figure out how to move parts of the horse in blender. I click on part of the joint and drag but it just looks demented.. is there something I am supposed to do in particular to move the joints? Thanks

- Click G to grab
- Click A to either unclick a joint, or to click all joints
