Howdy folks! Below are all the Pose Packs that I've made so far--please ensure that you have the most up-to-date version of the Pose Player in order to use these: ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------ A few notes: - I do NOT take requests. At certain points, if I have an idea for a pose-pack theme, I may ask for suggestions, but I will only take the ones I personally would like to make. The only exceptions to this are: a) I will occasionally offer requests as a reward for contests I hold, b) I will be working in conjunction with Christina and other Equus members to create future pose-packs; I may help make any pose requests they decide to take. If you have Horse-only poses you would like to see made, there are many other creators on this forum willing to take requests!
- Occasionally I will show previews of poses I have made, in either my albums thread or competitions I enter. While I will eventually release these to the public, please do not ask me to share poses with you early. It is important to me to release full packages that have been tested and are Pose List compatible, which takes a lot of work. I already have a few people who have agreed to be testers for me--I do not need any more. Sorry! You'll just have to be patient.
- Please do not ask your pose-making questions on this thread. I have started a new thread, Tutorials, Tools, and Tips, where you may ask all the questions you need help with. Please be sure to read/watch ALL the tutorials and FAQs before requesting help.
Thank you guys! ♥

Eeeee!!! Wow Kaleeko!! This would be great. I know everybody here would love to have some riding poses. Does this allow you to use the Animator for the horse and the pose player for the sim so that the horse can be "posed" while the sim is posed also? Can I make a request or two? This is a salute used before performing a dressage test. I really hope that somebody is working to do find the rig used for horses. I know it's got to be somewhere, because I've seen it from some EA interviews. Anyhoot, *crosses fingers* BTW, Bean looks cute as ever with Margo <3

Christina@Equus: Hehehehe!! I figured you'd be tickled pink. Glad I got the initiative to finally learn how to do it! Yep--I had Bean doing an Animator animation. It actually makes it pretty slick, since you can tell him where to point his head (I had him looking back at her initially, but it got in the way of showing off the pose)--I just had him whinnying for that one so he'd lower his head abit... I REALLY need to learn what the rest of the horse animations do, though. /lazy And I can most certainly do up a few poses! That one/two you showed is relatively simple, so shouldn't be too hard--it just may not be perfect my first attempt. I'll have to do a little research and poking about how to properly position the right arm for the salute--I've looked at a couple of guides and they seem to be saying things contrary to what I'm seeing, LOL. *derp* Well, if you want a horse rig/posing ability done up, you'll prolly need to haunt the right MTS threads where the makers of the rigs/pose player are lurking. i might drop a note myself, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up. @lidija: Will do! ♥

I'm willing to take oonnne more riding pose request--right now I've got the peace-sign, then I'm going to do a couples pose of two sims riding the horse together, and then the dressage salute.
I'll probably make more in the future, but for this first set, I'm just going to do 5 poses, to keep it nice and simple for myself. XD

Kaleeko@Equus, You can tell the horse where to point his head? DERP. I didn't know this. I swear you should write a handbook on how to manipulate and pose sims! OH. So, I was going to ask, can you do just a simple riding pose for a sim, too? I know they already ride horses, but, think of this: when a horse plays with the ball, it does a really pretty canter/"lope" which is a gait not available to sims actually riding a horse. Make sense? So if I can slap a sim on the horse while theyre posing like theyre riding, i can include that beautiful gait in my pictures

Heather,
It's through a recently updated version of Nraas' Animator Mod. You can click on a horse and the menu should be available Nraas...Animator...Play Looping Animation or whatever ^_^

Christina@Equus: Hahahah, yes you can!! While you have a sim (or animal) doing an animation, you can click on any object or sim, go into the "Animator" menu on it, and select "Look Here". It will turn the sim in the direction of that sim/object. Oooh, that's a great idea--and should be super easy, because all I have to do is clone the riding animation and turn it into a pose. XD If there's anything you'd like me to change about the posture, too, let me know now before I start working on these. (I'll be doing them this evening after I'm done with mah chores.)

Kaleeko@Equus, OMG I'm so giddy with excitement. I will gladly help you test them if you need! Let's see..I'll just supply you with some references. So, as you can see from these basic riding poses, back is straight, heels are down, head is looking in the direction the horse is going, and sometimes you're either smiling, or sometimes your face is strained with focus or neutral and relaxed. It would be nice to have a few facial variations. Here's some more relaxed variations: I plan on doing some writing as an instructor, so it would be really nice to have some fun looking poses like above, where students are smiling and just enjoying riding and learning. OH and..just cause these would be really amazing lolz: Picture is pretty large: hillsborough4h.ifas.ufl.edu/Event%20Websites/images/GirlHuggingHorse.jpgTHIS ONE OMG: Is this enough references LOL *hugs you*

HAHAHAHA. Oh dear!! Well, I'll save some of those for later, but those definitely help!! Thank you, Christina!! But for now, these will be plenty. I'm not sure about the standing poses, though--it'll be pretty hard to do those without a horse rig to work off of. If you can manage to find out how to get one or if you can convince the guy who made the other animal rigs to upload the horse rig, ( heremight be a place to find him ), it'll make doing those much much easier, even if I can't do horse poses because of the animaton player's borkiness. >: [

Christina@Equus: Hahah yeah, I left my own message on that thread, gonna hope he sees it. In the meantime, I'll work on the riding poses. C= Brooke@Equus: Awwww, thank you!! I don't think I'll be able to make anything super fancy like I've seen some creators do, but I'm really excited to make some that at least might be useful! C= (And yah, I love Bean too!!)

Blaaarrrgh, finally got the time to sit down! Okay, I made the first, "basic" riding pose. Absolutely nothing special--it's just the basic riding posture, though I did edit the face to give it a smile (c'mon, we're all happy sims here!), and changed the leg positions a bit so they looked a bit closer to some of those dressage shots. Alright, now that I've confirmed that works, I'll work on a couple more casual riding shots, and that dressage salute--that'll be mah first set.
