Born into a rather chaotic household, Jocelyn's life has always revolved around horses. Her mother, who earned the title "Equestrian Champion" with her beloved horse Azul, began teaching her at a young age as it became apparent her twin sister Isabella would have nothing to do with them. One thing her family stressed was a love for all animals which is why they are vegetarian and she is trying to phase out all animal products. The farm was a managerie of breeds, including two drafty-looking unicorn stallions, a quarter "pounder" and an arabian looking mixed breed. That mutt, Pretty Penny, was what got Jocelyn into Saddlebreds and saddleseat riding. The mare was so dainty, but too big to be all arab. She had the best temperment which led Jocelyn to do more research before they bred her. After her mother Noelle died and she took over the farm, Jocelyn bred "Penny" to a Saddlebred stallion and the foal ended up having perfect conformation. As the few jumpers the family had began to get older, Jocelyn brought in Saddlebred stock instead, knowing that this was the breed for her and her era of the stable.
