So... as many of ya'll know, my hard-drive decided to commit suicide 2 weeks ago and took all my horses, CC, and files with it. -.-' Money is tight right now, so I can't go out and buy a new laptop right away, so I was thinking of writing a story while I'll wait. (Once I have the Sims back I'll add pictures and exc.) What do you guys think? I already have a bunch of ideas so it won't go dead too quickly. xD Thanks! Bella *NOTE* Comments make me happy.

Sure, the story board doesn't get enough action I find. I would read it for sure.

"Come on guys! We're gonna be late!" yelled Bella as she threw the last heavy suitcase into the back of her new Dodge truck. She had woken up at 3 in the morning to be able to catch the plane to Morocco at 6 but still managed to run late as usual. "We have a 2 hour drive ahead of us and that's if traffic is good to us!" Exhausted, she climbed into the truck and started the engine. "That will bring them running for sure." As she had predicted, the two people she had been waiting on appeared at the front door and quickly got into the truck. "Steph, you get in fro-" she was cut off by a whiny voice. "Why does she always get to sit in the front? You guys treat me like a little kid!" Bella cut in to her rant. "It's because you are a little kid Lisa..." she trailed off. The loud sigh she heard was enough to tell her that she had won, at least for now. "Was I that bad when I was 14?" she muttered under her breath.
Being careful to back out with the trailer hitched behind her, she felt relief. They were finally on the road. Driving through the countryside was easy for her, since her mother's job included a lot of traveling over the long, mostly empty terrain of Texas. She studied the two people she had decided to bring with her on her seemingly crazy new business venture. Stephanie has been her best friend since freshman year when she had moved to the small town called Appaloosa Plains. Stephanie has lived there her whole life, while Bella was Texas born and bred. Even though they were polar opposites, something about them just... meshed. She was 5'10 with a slender body type and had layered platinum blonde hair that seemed perfect with minimal upkeep. She had been the one who had gotten Bella onto the cheer-leading team along with the local 4H club. High school with Steph at her side was amazing, and Bella never regretted giving the girl who at first looked like the typical Queen Bee a chance.
Her sister was another story though... the only reason she was going was because their mother had died in a riding accident and their father had to go away on a business trip at that time, leaving Steph in charge of the teen. She was 5'5 at age 14 and had natural, wild red hair which always seemed to be in a state of disarray. She was on the junior cheer-leading team mostly from her sister's intervention, as Stephanie was captain of the varsity one. Her school life wasn't exactly the best, mostly from getting in fights with a group of girls on her team. Still, there was no other choice besides taking her.
They finally pulled into the airport. Bella, who had flown many times before hardly batted an eye at the loud noises and generally crazy atmosphere of it, but Stephanie and Lisa seemed to be shocked. "We've never flown before..." whispered Stephanie. "It'll be alright. Nothing will go wrong. Besides, just think of how much fun we'll have when we get there!" said Bella, as she attempted to reassure the duo. "Yeah right! I bet that I'm gonna be stuck at the hotel while you two run all over searching for "The Perfect Horse" said the teenager in her typical sullen tone. "Horses" corrected Bella. "It takes two to have a breeding pair." The girl shot her a nasty look. "Come on, security's that way" Bella said quickly to try to take the tension out of the conversation. "Alrighty then!" Steph yelled in her usually cheery way. "I guess it's time we got on that plane..."
With one last dirty look at Bella, Lisa turned around and followed her sister to the line at the security checkpoint. "This is gonna be interesting" muttered Bella as she followed, dragging her bulging suitcase.

"Gate 23 is now boarding our 6AM flight to Morocco." The announcement rang out over the intercom. Bella rose up from the seats where they had been waiting and shook Steph awake. "They're boarding Hon, time to get up." The blonde groggily looked around for a second, as if she had forgotten where she was. "Come on Stephanie! You're gonna make us miss the flight" complained an annoyed Lisa. After gathering their bags they set off for the short line to present their boarding passes. The air smelt like a mix of different foods, perfumes, and shoe polish. Bella looked around. Even at 6 AM the airport was already bustling. Her train of thought was interrupted by the sound of a plane taking off from the runway outside. "Good God that is loud!" said Stephanie, in awe at seeing her first plane takeoff. "I'm so nervous. I can't believe we're going this..." she chewed on her nail nervously. "It'll be alright. I promise." Bella took her boarding pass and presented it to the official at the front desk.
They stepped inside the plane and walked down the aisle to their row. It was a regular commercial sized jet, with 3 seats on each side of the aisle. The air was cold and it smelled a bit musty. "We're gonna be stuck on here for like 15 hours?" Lisa exclaimed in horror. "You'll sleep most of the way. If you quit complaining then you can have the window." That shut her up pretty well. "Now they're gonna demonstrate how to buckle your seat-belt and stuff like that. It's not really worth watch-" she trailed off as she saw Lisa whip out her phone and begin frantically texting. "You know we can't have out electronic devices until they say so right?" asked Bella. "Who cares! I have 10 new messages and I'd really like to answer them before I'm disconnected for 15 hours" she grumbled. Annoyed, Stephanie's hand flew out and grabbed the cell phone. "You'll get this back when we land" she said in a sugary voice. She flashed an evil grin at Bella before rummaging in her large purse and taking out a neck pillow and promptly falling asleep.
Upon takeoff Bella attempted to settle down and sleep, but she was just too excited. It seemed it would be a long 15 hours doing nothing. "I'm actually doing it" she thought. A few hours later, she had finally drifted off into a light sleep. The sounds off Stephanie's quiet near-snores was almost comforting. A scene materialized in her head of the island she had recently thought of relocating to. The ocean breeze that blew over it, the view of waves crashing on the beaches... the waterfall and the other beautiful scenery... and the wild horses that had been rumored to run it's shores.

They flew into Mohammed V International Airport at Casablanca in the afternoon. The time changes weren't much to Bella, as she was used to them, but seemed to be getting to Steph. The trio walked through the surprisingly quiet airport. After some difficulty, they managed to find their baggage carousel. "We're here. Now what?" asked Lisa. "I'd really like my phone back too" she said with a grin. Stephanie, who at that moment could only be described as a zombie dug through her purse and handed it back to her. "Well... we need to find a hotel, chill a bit and then start asking around!" said Bella cheerfully. Stephanie, who had finally started to come out of her stupor, looked at Bella in a strange way. "I don't wanna sound rude or anything... but do most people speak English around here? I mean, how will we find this almighty horse auction?" Bella stopped in her tracks. "Erm... that should have been something I checked... Lisa, can you Google the national language of Morocco?" Lisa finished the text she had been writing and pulled up her browser. "Airports have the best signal. Anyway... it says here that the two official languages are Arabic and something called "Berber". I wonder what that is?" Feeling relieved, Bella glanced at Stephanie. "I learned quite a bit of basic Arabic when I got bored that summer and bought the Rosetta Stone thing on it! I knew it'd come in handy." Stephanie looked at her oddly. "You took Arabic?" she asked. "In the summer of 10th Grade remember? You were on vacation and I had nothing to do. Since I was obsessed with Arabian horses, I decided to learn a new language on a whim and chose Arabic." Giving up, Steph let the topic drop for a bit.
They continued walking until they passed security and were standing in front of the parking lot of the entrance. "I was thinking... are you sure you remember enough to be able to do this? I mean... 10th Grade was a long time ago." Before Bella could reply, a transit bus pulled a few feet in front of them. "I guess that's our ride" said Lisa as she got onto the bus without ever looking away from her cell phone. The two girls got their luggage onto the shelves inside and sat down. "We'll just have to see what happens" said Bella. They didn't speak until the time came to get off at the bus station. Lisa got off first, dragging her hot pink rolling suitcase behind her, and the others followed shortly after. Bella looked around, trying to remember the hotel's name. She finally found a bus that would take them to it. "There it is! The Hôtel Barceló Casablanca." Glad to get in from the outside heat, they found seats and again put up their luggage. "Sounds fancy" said Stephanie as she watched the city outside the window. "How many beds did you get?" Lisa's head jerked up from her cell. "I'm not sharing!" she yelled in disgust. "Cool it..." Bella answered her in a dangerous tone. "I got us a double room. It's got 3 beds, so you can calm down." Lisa rolled her eyes and went back to texting. Bella let herself get lost in the scenery. Casablanca was beautiful, but she'd have to make day trips to other cities to be able to find what she was looking for.
The bus pulled up to the Hôtel Barceló after half an hour of travel. It was a tall grey building with large windows. Usually, she'd stick around to admire the lobby, see if there was a pool and so on, but at that moment the desire to sleep properly hit her full on. They walked up to the glass double-door entrance and stepped into the beautiful lobby.

"This is amazing!" exclaimed Lisa as she looked up from the pamphlet she had gotten from the front desk. Bella walked over and sat down on the huge bed next to the teen. Lisa held it up for her to see. The pamphlet was listing the attractions in and around Casablanca and the one that had caught Lisa's eye was a picture of horses racing across the desert. "It says that we can rent horses for a few hours and go riding across the desert! Do you know how awesome of a Facebook post that'd be?" Bella rolled her eyes at the girl indignantly. "I guess..." she muttered reluctantly. "I know what you're thinking. How much does it cost?" She braced herself for a ridiculous price, but when Lisa finally admitted it, it wasn't as frightening as she was expecting it to be. "Well... I guess it's always been one of my biggest dreams. Steph, what do you say?"
The blonde girl turned away from the window where she had been standing to cock an eyebrow at Bella. " Let's go for it. First, I think we're all due for a nap." It turned out to be over 3 hours before Lisa had woken up to find that it was only 1 in the afternoon. The time change would take some time to get used to. After quite a bit of moaning, groaning, and prodding, the trio was on the move.
They were able to rent a car for the day that they would drive outside of Casablanca into the more open desert for the once in a lifetime experience. It took them about 45 minutes, but the drive didn't get boring. Surprisingly, Morocco's landscape wasn't just flat sand dunes like some might imagine, but a rich and vast place full of amazing landscapes. The process of being able to rent the horses wasn't very difficult in itself. They paid the horse dealer by the hour, chose your horse, and rode off. The three girls walked down the line of horses, feeling more excited by the second. Most were Arabians, but among them were 3 who were not like the others. They were shorter, thicker, with more powerful heads with roman noses. Could these be the breed she had been looking for? "Um, excuse me Sir? Are these three over here Barb horses?" she asked. He replied "Indeed they are. I keep a small number around, mostly because tourists prefer to gallop across the deserts on Arabians... something they're slightly familiar with versus Barbs, which most have never heard of. I'm sure you three were here for the Arabs as well, but I suggest the Barbs. You won't be disappointed." She nodded in thanks before turning to her friends. "What do you think? Lisa, since you found the ad you can have first pick." Lisa actually smiled at the idea, and began to observe the 3 horses carefully. The first was a tall, light dappled grey athlete. She wasn't as short and muscly-looking, but still seemed strong, as if she was fit for showjumping. Next to her was an impressive dark bay stallion with some dappling. His body was short, compact, and seemed like a lot to handle. Yet when Lisa approached him, his eyes rolled back a ways. Behind all the bulk was just a nervous little stallion. Last, was a short and lovely rose grey mare. She had a sweet face and just seemed to radiate calm, almost motherly energy. Lisa reached out once more, but this time the horse did not retreat, but met her hand halfway. She let loose a giggle, even though she had attempted to stifle it. "I guess she chose me." Bella strode up to the stallion and began to rub his neck slowly. After a while, he decided she wasn't going to eat him and relaxed. Meanwhile, Stephanie was interacting with the tall greyhound of a mare. Tacking them up went well, and after triple checking everything they finally set off.
They all started at a walk, trying to get a feel for the new horses. Stephanie was the first to begin picking up the pace as she lightly tapped the mare with her heels, getting her into a fast trot almost immediately. It wasn't the smoothest she had ever ridden, but it was tolerable, and after a while the mare seemed to find her pace and settle into a fast working trot. Not to be outshined, Bella also tapped her heels on the sides of the bay stallion. He moved into a fast jerky trot, but not without jumping slightly, as if startled. Bouncing around ridiculously, the two friends looked at each other and busted out laughing. It felt like just yesterday they had been racing each-other through the fields on their ponies. Lisa had stayed at a slow walk, enjoying the little mare's surprisingly smooth gait and observing the scenery. The temporary calm that she had been in was dissolved when she was hit with the sand cloud that had been stirred up by the two horses in front of her. She looked ahead, seeing her sister and her best friend laughing hysterically. Suddenly wishing intensely that she had someone to share the moment with, she felt herself begin to urge the mare on. Her hooves beat like drums into the sand. Within a few seconds, the bumpy trot had been long forgotten as she broke into a gallop like a sprinter. They passed the two girls almost instantaneously. Part of Lisa was screaming at her to slow the horse down, but another... smaller part was telling her to finally let go and keep going.
Bella and Stephanie considered Lisa's sudden departure as a sign of a race, and they both urged their horses into a gallop. The dapple grey mare broke into a long, stretched out flat gallop, catching up to Lisa in about 20 seconds. Behind her came the stallion, who decided to be brave for a bit and charged ahead, running with all his might. It felt like nothing else existed except for the three girls, the horses, and the sprawling desert...
