Today Blair & Samara got up early and took off with their trailers to pick up some horses. 3 of which were a very kind donation to the Therapy center from Amanda. The other was grey paint mare Blair purchased. All the horses were very well behaved and trailered well. They're now in the pasture getting use to their new surroundings. Blair quickly assessed their temperaments and was very happy to find that they were very calm and passive. Perfect for the lesson and therapy programs. You'll be seeing a lot of these guys in the near future! Unloading Relaxing after their trip Iron Rose, Midnight Song, Devil's Dance & Northern Lite Bellows

Yes, she's gorgeous too. I've been riding her a lot and she's a jewel. So calm and obedient. Nothing fazes her at all. The first time I got on her back it was like she was an old pro. Once she caught on to my leg and weight aids she was great. Hardly have to use any reins on her. Her lesson just finished, so pics will be up late tonight or tomorrow AM.

Liam was Blair's evening lesson. It was his first time around horses, but he showed no fear at all! As soon as he got out of the car, he ran over to the pasture fence to watch the horses. Memorial, the stable's new mini had just arrived 20 minutes before. Poor little guy was a little scared of his new pasture mates, and was galloping around rather frantically. Liam asked if he could brush the pony, but I told him that he was rather nervous and skiddish right now, and that it would be best to wait until he settled down and relaxed. I asked him which horse he'd like to ride, and he pick Char, our only lesson approved Draft horse. Usually the students are intimidated by her size, but Liam thought she was so cool. I couldn't find Chars' halter. She must of taken it off in the field, which she tends to do at times. Luckily she is fine with just a rope around her neck. I'll have to go out and buy her a new one today. I showed Liam how to brush her, but he was having a hard time to reach so we improvised. Liam watched me saddle her. There was no way he could of lifted the heavy Western saddle onto her back so I got her ready for him. When she was all tacked up, Liam asked if he could lead her out to the arena. I was surprised he'd be confident enough to do that with such a big horse. But, I trusted Char and handed him the lead rope. Char was great and stood at the mounting block patiently while I showed Liam how to get on. He didn't hesitate at all. I was pretty impressed. We walked around the arena while I explained the basics of riding. Liam got a grasp on how to use his legs and reins to guide Char. After a few tries they were riding between the pylons like pros. Before the lesson was over, Liam asked to try a trot. I obliged and jogged along beside them. At the end, Liam went to Char's stall to say goodbye. He's so excited to come back. Maybe even next time he'll be off the lead.

This is great!
*How did you get the children to ride the horse? Is that a pose? Or a mod?*

It's a pose you can get here in the jumping pack www.morningstarequestriansims.com/posesSorry, I somehow missed your reply XD. I could use a regular size pony, like 12-13 hands right now. Amanda - Yes, they arrived safely and are settling in very well!
