Darn. If you have the time do you think you could make one for dogs and cats?

Darn. If you have the time do you think you could make one for dogs and cats? Since I'm not familiar with the problems dog/cat breeders, have, could you elaborate on what you'd like fixed? You can send me an email, sims.ishr@gmail.com

Just used up the max layers for the first time.... and it is on a Knabstrupper foal hahaha. Those spots do take up alot of room! Thanks for this mod.

Thank you so much for the layer increase! I'm going to see if I can gussy up my Robotic Pony a bit more with the extra layers! Also, I'd love to know if the Genetic mod would work for dogs and cats, too. I breed dogs as well as my horses and I imagine there's a few cat people here, too.

If someone doesn't have this mod but downloads a horse that uses, let's say, 70 layers, will they still be there or...? Good question, I thought about it too. I think the person will still have the 70 layers without the mod. I've had many many foals who have beyond surpassed the limit of 51. So it's possible to have more than 51 layers without the mod. I've bred horses without the mod in-game and had foals come out with over 50 layers also. (lol, SO many dapples... Too many dapples!) The game will let me delete those layers but not let me add more once they're gone. They've all kept the markings over 50 for me once I accept the changes and start playing again and I've sent them to people like that. So the game should allow you to add more and keep them, it does it by itself sometimes. But since these would be due to a mod I wonder if it matters? I'm going to have to make a test horsey and send it to someone and see what happens! Gem, thanks for these mods! I'm going to install them as soon as I get home! I'm super excited for the genetics one.

Has anyone had issues with the game crashing as soon as you try to add a horse to the family which you just made in CAP with over the EA specified number of layers? It keeps doing it as I try to add this horse I made utilizing more than 50 layers. Wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing. EDIT: Game still crashes when I try to add the horse, but while in play mode I took a horse with the same conformation into CAS and applied the coat (I had saved the coat earlier). The horse now has the coat and works fine. <--Optional work around if anyone experiences the same thing. I'm having the issue of the horse just coming out invisible. Any word on a fix for this?

I just stopped using the mod. I've talked to several people who have the same issue regarding the game crashing and/or the horse being invisible. I've made plenty of excellent coats only use 50 layers, so I removed it as it was causing me personally too much hassle.

Yeah, I'd love to keep using this mod.. Ive found a few annoying ways around it, but still.. I don't think I'm going to be making any more coats with it until the issue is fixed. The only one I can't part with is my appy coat.. hopefully it doesn't start giving me any problems. I do want to thank the creator for such a lovely mod <3 Too bad it can be quite a bit buggy.

Since it's only a tuning mod, I can't fix any of the occurring problems for people, sorry. It probably is just the game having issues with the exceeding layers, since it's originally not suppose to be beyond 51, it's most likely too much to handle, unless the horse is born with more. I'm not really sure that works out either. All I can suggest is finding someone who's advanced with modding to actually look into it deeply.
