You mean one with a reduced specular/ambient? Er... I don't know what the means xD probably? The "specular/ambient maps" in a Sims 3 object determine the shininess of the object. So if you made it all black (no sheen at all) you could simulate that by painting on the reflective parts. Like when you would paint a mane on a screenshot.

I mean like this. Where the part that changes with highlights is the part that should be shinier.

I was wondering if you could make a multi-colored paint horse tail? Or if its even possible? Also, what do you use to do this with the tails and manes?

Try out this tutorial simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorial:_Custom_Pet_MarkingsIt will show you, how you can clone and edit a marking, and like a marking you can also edit manes and tails. You have to figure it out by yourself, because I'm not english and a tutorial in english would be too hard for me to do xD
