By changing the channels of the mesh I think Nope it's "simpler" You have to change only the channel texture, there are 3 or 4 colors, black the basic, red the hairline, green the highlights and blue the hair-ends @all Thanks so much ))

It's a package file, I put it to the mods folder in my documents -> electronic arts -> the sims 3 both files - mane and tail. It shows up in the game, it just does "behave" like a normal mane, so no frosting.

After the Frosted series (which by the way, is beautiful and amazing) do you think you could maybe do shine-control ones? Like where the Highlighted part is only where it would be shiniest (and therefore we could have shiny manes and tails) If not I completely understand! Just something I thought I'd ask while I'm thinking of it. Sorry for being so troublesome. D:
