I have taken the time to create a couple of game mods to make things in the Sims world run a little more smoothly. Sometimes I want to punch myself in the face because of some of the programming ideas EA comes up with. Anywho, I hope these mods will make some of you happy. Please follow the instructions provided below, but if you have any questions or can't understand the linked tutorial, please ask as long as you have read and tried the resources provided
All Compatible with patch 1.38[/color]
I like to use hay bales for deco in my stables and whatnot but I HATED that my sims would always want to scatter the hay! So, I made a mod to keep them from doing this. With this mod installed, your sims will no longer feel the strange urge to scatter hay.
How many of you think that the Sims ice cream truck is one of the most ridiculous additions to the game? I know I do. It seems like it is always popping up at the most inopportune moments to ruin my photographs. It had potential, but does anyone want to buy ice cream from a creepy truck that visits at two in the morning? Yeah me neither. There's another mod out there that reduces the amount of time that the truck appears, but I just wanted it gone completely, so without further ado I present.....THE ICE CREAM TRUCK ANNIHILATOR!!! (AKA no more ice cream truck mod)
Dawn I love you, but seriously girl... can't have a veggie garden within 5 miles of you. If you have a lawn mower/vacuum cleaner of a horse like me, you may have lost a couple plants or ten. This mod prevents horses from eating garden plants on their own. You can still direct them to if for whatever reason you want though.
This is a request from Amanda over at Morning Star Equestrian. It's pretty basic - with this mod, sims will no longer brush horses autonomously so the horses won't change out of their leading halter or other tack.
It is SO annoying when you are in the middle of trying to do something with your horse and rider when all of a sudden, the rider decides it's time to dismount and go drink a juice box. This wouldn't be so bad if the horse didn't have to do that strange spin-change out of it's tack every time. You have to sit and wait for the horse's outfit to load both times, meanwhile precious daylight hours are burning! I dunno about you, but my sims run a tight schedule and they got places to do and things to go (wait that doesn't sound right...). Also available for download is no auto mounting so that you won't have the same issue in the reverse order (this one was requested by MissBlack).
Ok this is a very specific mod and it may not be for everyone.... Before, I hated that you could not direct your horse to pee at any time because I like to queue up a whole lot of tasks to do and by the end of it, they would be all pissy (haha had to include a lame pun) cause they had to pee! Well if you think that this is a problem, then this mod will solve it!
Steps to install:
1. Download file from the provided link
2. Save the file to documents --> electronic arts --> the sims 3 --> mods --> packages (no extraction of files necessary)
3. Be sure to check for updates after patches are released and ALWAYS remove your "packages" folder to the desktop before patching and then put it back.
4. Enjoy!
If any of you are unfamiliar with downloading mods and don't understand the above instructions or the mod is not working in your game. Look to this tutorial: modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Sims_3:Installing_Package_Files
I'm pretty familiar with creating mods for the game, so if any of you out there have anything in mind, let me know and I will see what I can do.

No That Hay Does NOT Need to Be Scattered
